Discover the countryside around Korcula and its charming villages during a bucolic hike.
In a mini-van, you will drive through hillside villages and reach Zrnovo, an old village a few kilometres away from Korcula. Here there are old stone houses sheltering an inner paved courtyard and sometimes a dry stone stable, but also large houses belonging to notables, churches and chapels dating back to the Middle Ages.
During your hike, you will be able to admire the magnificent views over the Peljesac peninsula and its pine and conifer forests. After the hike, you will take a break at Agroturizam Grubinjac, where you will be able to taste a local snack.
· This hike involves around 4.5 kilometres (2.8 miles) of walking on uneven surfaces, gravel and steps. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and sun protection. This excursion is only run in English. The order of the visits may be reversed.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 50

In Korcula’s open-air theatre, attend a performance of the Moreška, a traditional dance that has been practiced for more than four centuries on the Croatian island.
Widespread all over the Mediterranean in the 12th and 13th centuries, the Moreška - a simultaneous dance and traditional swordplay - has existed on the island of Korcula since the 16th century. It has its roots in Spain, particularly in association with the conflict between Moors and Christians; in Dalmatia, it is closely connected to the battle against the Ottoman Empire.
During this excursion, you will have the chance to attend a performance of this folkloric heritage within the walls of the island’s open-air theatre. The intrigue generally shows the conflict between the White King (who wears red) and the Black King, who are fighting for the heart of the veiled princess. Called Bula, she opens the show with a declaration of love for the White King, before being taken hostage by the Black King. In a circle and accompanied by their soldiers, each holding an iron sword, the dancers confront each other to various rhythms until the White King wins and the lovers are reunited.
After the performance, you will enjoy refreshments consisting of local biscuits, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person.Perched on a peninsula overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, Korcula is one of the Mediterranean’s best-preserved cities and offers those who explore its streets a veritable dive into history.
Built to a "fishbone” plan in the 13th century, the Old Town of Korcula seems to want to touch the sky. The cobbled streets, small squares and narrow dwellings all rise towards the azure blue, since they can’t push back the fortifications that surround the city. Amidst this picture-postcard decor sit several emblematic sites that you will have the chance to visit.
Your first visit will be the Bishop’s Palace and its Icon Museum. The museum contains a unique collection of Byzantine Icons dating from the 13th to the 15th century, brought back by sailors, as well as ceremonial pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries.
You will then explore the Cathedral of St Mark. Constructed in the 15th century and erected in the heart of the Old Town - on the former site of a 13th-century church – by local masters, in a style blending Gothic and Renaissance, it is undoubtedly Korcula’s most emblematic moment and, above all, an ode to Croatian expertise in Dalmatian stonework.
Opposite the cathedral, you will discover Gabrielis Palace and its Town Museum. With its collections of archaeological, ethnographic and artistic objects, you will be able to go back in time and discover the various influences on the city over the centuries.
Then admire the huge staircase that leads to Tower Revelin, guardian of the city erected in the 15th century, as well as its large gate, decorated with a sculpture of the lion of St Mark.
· This excursion involves approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) of walking through narrow streets, with some steps. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes and protect yourself from the sun. The order of the visits may be reversed.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. On this tour, discover nature’s wonders: the Krka National Park and its famous waterfalls. A natural frontier between northern and central Dalmatia, the Krka River joins the Adriatic Sea at Sibenik. On its journey, the Krka drops down from a height of 45 metres (147.6 feet) in a succession of no less than 17 natural falls, before forming a lake and then narrowing down again to Skradinski Buk.
From the pier, board your coach for a 30-minute scenic drive to the Krka National Park where you will see Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall of the national park. Located on river banks, Skradinski Buk houses mills and wash houses. Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to discover the ethnological museum.
Located in the park, the museum provides a great deal of knowledge and history explaining how the park became a wildlife sanctuary for many different species of animals and plant life.
You will then discover the old water-mills where cereals are still ground by water-spun grindstones.
If time permits, you can enjoy some free time at the National Park.
After enjoying some free time, you will re-board your coach and continue to the Village of Stankovci.
In the House of Dalmatian prosciutto, you will be able to learn about the production method of Dalmatian prosciutto and taste different products prepared here. The manufacturing facility is equipped with the latest technological devices, but whenever possible, they still use a natural drying system with the strong Mediterranean wind – 'bura'.
After visiting the house of Dalmatian Prosciutto and having your lunch, you will join your coach and return to your ship harboured at Split, 1 ½-hour drive.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 130
Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. After the short walk (15 minutes) from the port to the Old Town you will start with the walking portion of the tour.
The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit of the Palace on the ground gallery that is still very well preserved. It offers a good view at how the life in the Palace was organised.
You will also visit the very interesting Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified in 650 the mausoleum of Diocletian by getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split.
The Cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine and is supposed to be the oldest in the world. A visit will also be made to the charming Temple of Jupiter, turned into the baptistery by Christians. Observe the front panel or the ceiling with grotesque faces. Cross the Palace of the southern gate to the North door and discover the ramparts and the immense "statue of Gregory of Nin" by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
After the walking tour you will head back to the ship. If you wish to spend some time on your own, you can visit the colourful open market (largest on the coast) or spend some time in the town before returning to the ship.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 30
Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. From the pier, embark your coach for the 25-minute drive to Perast, town with almost the same number of churches as the number of inhabitants.
Enjoy the scenery and architecture of the old historical town of Perast which, between the 13th and 18th centuries, belonged to Venice. The most beautiful buildings were constructed under the period of the Republic of Venice in the 17th and 18th centuries when Perast was at its peak. The Parish Church in Perast was built in 1740 by the Venetian architect, Giuseppe Beati but only the church tower and the church vault remain. You will visit the St. Nicholas Church, patron saint of the sailors.
There are two small islands in the close vicinity of Perast: St. George Island and Our Lady of the Rock Island.
You will reach the man-made islet of Our Lady of the Rocks after a 15-minute boat ride. The stone plateau in the middle of the sea with a church on it is the result of the enduring efforts of generations of sailors. The island was built artificially by scuttling old ships and depositing stones around a small crag. The construction of a sanctuary began in the first century of the Venetian rule. The sanctuary was dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin because this cult was greatly venerated by the Venetians. On the altar is the famous icon of Our Lady of the Rock, a 15th century work by Lovro Marinov Dobricevic. It is the most valuable work of art in the church because its history is so closely related to that of the island, the only artificially built island in the Adriatic. The church itself is decorated with more than 2,500 votive tablets made of silver, mostly donated by seamen.
Finally, you will get back to Kotor, following your guide on a walking tour of the city.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 70
Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. From the pier, join your guide and embark aboard your speedboat for the day. Enjoy a 45-minute ride from Kotor to Blue Cave, where you will experience the most unique views of the Bay of Kotor and Lustica Peninsula.
Rays of sunshine reflecting inside the cave cause the water to take on a beautiful shade of blue, for which this cave is best known. You will visit this natural hall, with a 9-metre-high vaulted cave ceiling and crystal-clear waters that are so transparent, you can see the seabed 13 metres below.
A shorter, 15-minute ride will lead you to the Fisherman's village restaurant and club, which offers a unique local experience. All the culinary specialties that are prepared in the restaurant are made from the freshly caught fish and sea food and organically grown vegetables from the nearby garden.
After a welcome drink, you will have free time to enjoy a spacious and comfortable private beach with sun beds, the pristine sea, and impressive views over the open water and entrance of Boka Kotor Bay. A three-course lunch will be served paired with local wines, followed by some more free time at the beach for swimming.
After this moment out of time, you will reboard your speedboat for a 45-minutes ride back to your ship in Kotor.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. From the pier, meet your guide and start your stroll through the streets of this medieval town.
Along the way you will visit, among other places, the Franciscan Monastery whose cloister ranks among the most inspiring sites of the city. The Monastery houses also the oldest still working pharmacy in Europe and the third oldest pharmacy in the world founded in 1317. It is still active and still offers creams manufactured according to ancestral recipes.
After visiting the monastery, you will go to the Assumption Cathedral built in the 18th century on the ruins of a church dating from the 12th century destroyed by an earthquake in 1667. This one might surprise you by its simplicity and the clarity of its interior, but its treasure is among the richest in Europe, with a unique collection of relics in gold and silver.
You will continue with the Dominican Monastery, soberer than the previous one, and its museum with a fine collection of Renaissance paintings, including the triptych of N. Bozidarevic representing Dubrovnik before the earthquake or the table of Titian representing Sainte Madeleine and Saint Blaise.
Other fine buildings will be viewed from the outside, like the Sponza Palace notable for its columned courtyard with elaborate stone carvings, Church of Saint Blaise, Onofriou's Fountain, etc.
Then, enjoy some time on your own in the Old Town, before proceeding to the Dubrovnik cable car. A short ride will take you up to the top of Srd hill from where you can admire Dubrovnik Old town, Elaphite Islands and Lokrum.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. From the pier, board your coach for a 1-hour scenic drive along the Adriatic Road toward the town of Ston.
Ston was built according to the plans approved by the Dubrovnik government in 1335 and amended in 1370 and is considered one of the best planned and best structured cities in Europe. The walls of Ston were a massive architecture and construction feat. Originally 7,000 metre long (22,965 ft.), they consist of several parts; the Ston city walls, the Mali Ston city walls and the Big wall with its three forts. Its forts and towers are strengthened by 10 round and 31 square flanking towers, as well as 6 semicircular bastions. It took almost four centuries to finish these complex defence walls, as the builders had to adapt to the rough terrain and advancements in warfare technology. The walls were last used for defence in the 19th century, and today they are a priceless monument of immense architectural and cultural value.
Once arriving at Ston’s walls, you will start your hiking passing distance of almost 900 meters over demanding terrain with more than 250 steps before joining your coach for a ride to Mali Ston, the 'oysters capital' of Croatia.
Upon arrival in Mali Ston, you will board a local boat which will take you to oyster and mussel beds. Your host will welcome you on board and introduce you with oyster & mussel farming in this area. You will have the opportunity to learn about the oyster & mussel production as well as to taste freshly prepared oysters & mussels including mussel buzara (mussels cooked with wine, garlic and olive oil).
Finally, re-board your coach for a 1-hour return ride back to Dubrovnik along the old historical road passing through the old villages of Dubrovacko Primorje.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 90

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of Gothic and Renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.
After crossing the main square, you will pass by the Cathedral of Saint Stephan (outside visit). It was built in stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, while the interior was not wholly completed until the 18th century. From outside, it has the characteristics of the Renaissance style and inside the baroque style.
Then, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery, which holds a rich collection of lace made of agave leaves.
After this walking tour you may follow your guide back to the pier or stay in town for some time at leisure.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person.Let yourself be guided by a tasty mix of history, sumptuous landscapes, and gourmet delights. Whether you are a truffle connoisseur or a novice, this experience will leave you with a unique memory.
From the pier, you will board your coach and start your one-hour commented drive to Motovun. This medieval, hilltop town is a captivating symbol of the Istrian interior. Back then, Motovun forest was quite bigger than it is today, and both white and black truffles found in that area were among the best quality truffles to be found in Istria. You will enjoy a guided walk and some free time to explore the narrow streets of this singular village.
After another short, 15-minute bus drive, you will reach the Istria peninsula hinterland and the village of Paladini, where you will meet with the Karlic family: a grandfather, a mother, grandchildren, and their dogs at their farm. From Paladini, near Buzet, the Karlic family's truffle business was established in 1966 by Mr Ivan Rašpolic.
Your hosts will first take you on a truffle hunt in their own woods, where they grow and harvest black truffles. All the truffles are hidden underground and can't be found by your eye alone. However, the trained dogs are adept at recognizing their strong smell.
Back at the farm, they will introduce you to the history of truffles in Istra. You will taste delicious products made of truffles, all prepared by the family, including Istrian cheese with truffles, sausages with truffles, truffle paté, honey with truffles, olive oil with truffles. The highlight of your experience will be the preparation of the famous Istrian "fritaja" (scrambled eggs with truffles), where you will be invited to join in and cook the fritaja.
After this delightful moment, it will be time to re-board your coach and head back to your ship in Rovinj.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit Preis pro Person. From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Church of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).

Day 2 - Venice
After breakfast, you will leave your hotel by boat to explore some of the hidden gardens of the city, learn their history and find out what prompted the locals to create gardens in such a challenging environment. Gardens in Venice come as a surprise: although many of the palaces have their own small, private garden, when wandering around it is easy to get the impression that Venice is a city of stone.
The first stop is Nani Bernardo Palace, opened especially for a private visit. Designed by the architect Vittoria and commissioned the Bernardo family, the palace was built in the mid-16th century with a beautiful Italian garden. On the other side of the Grand Canal, you will then enjoy a private visit of Palazzo Malipiero.
Initially built in a Byzantine style, it has undergone some modifications over the centuries. The adjacent Italian-style garden with a view of the Grand Canal, a rarity in Venice, makes it even more distinctive.
Like many others, this garden was created in the late 18th century, when the large palace gardens situated on the outskirts of the city disappeared because of residential and industrial development.
You will then be transferred by boat to Sant’Erasmo. While this is the largest island in the Venetian lagoon, it is only sparsely populated. For years this has been Venice’s countryside, the agricultural zone which produces the fruit and vegetables consumed by the city-dwellers. Its artichokes are particularly renowned. You will take a walk through the vineyards of the Cantina Orto di Venezia estate, before tasting three vintages of locally produced Orto, a white wine full of this special island’s unique character. This wine is made from ancient Italian grape varieties; the vines are cultivated using traditional and eco-friendly methods. Driven by their passion and tenacity, the Thoulouze family have managed to recreate the ancestral methods of drainage using the natural tides of the lagoon.
Orto is a white wine with a high mineral content and a flavour that reflects its terroir. It can be drunk on any occasion but goes especially well with the products of the Venetian lagoon: fish, artichokes, and asparagus. It was recently named the best Italian Malvasia vintage.
After the visit, you will take a boat ride to Mazzorbo, a rural island connected to Burano by a wooden pedestrian bridge. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will return to Venice where you will learn the art of mask making.
Venetian masks have been worn in Venice since ancient times. They have a long history of protecting their wearer’s identity during promiscuous or decadent activities, such as gambling in one of the many casinos that dotted the city. The art of mask making is one of Venice’s oldest handicrafts. Guided by the desire to keep this traditional art form alive, a famous Venetian mask-making workshop will welcome you for a course in mask decoration including theory and practice. Once you have selected the type of mask you wish to decorate, you will choose among the different decorating techniques available and combine them to make your own one-of-a-kind Venetian mask.
The experts on hand will explain the ancient technique of making a Venetian papier-mâché mask, providing important historical information on the use of masks in Venice over past centuries, together with an explanation of the most significant models. At the end of the course, you will get to keep the mask you decorated, as a memento of this unforgettable experience.
You will return to your hotel by boat, to enjoy the rest of the day and evening at your leisure.
Day 3 - Venice
Breakfast at your hotel, morning at leisure and check-out.
You will then visit a tavern to enjoy a cooking lesson and learn the secrets of Venetian cuisine. With the chef’s guidance and supervision, you will create typical local dishes as you learn more about the culture and cuisine of the region. At the end of the lesson, you will eat what you prepared and toast to this memorable experience.
You will then be transferred by boat to the pier of Venice to embark on board your ship.

Along the way you will visit, among other places, the Franciscan Monastery whose cloister ranks among the most inspiring sites of the city. After visiting the monastery, you will go to the Assumption Cathedral built in the 18th century on the ruins of a church dating from the 12th century destroyed by an earthquake in 1667.

From the pier, you will board your coach and start your one-hour commented drive to Motovun. This medieval, hilltop town is a captivating symbol of the Istrian interior.
