The Buccaneer Archipelago is a beautiful area consisting of a thousand rocky islands with small embayments and secluded white sandy beaches. The Buccaneer Archipelago’s coastline, with its characteristic marine inundated ridge and basin topography is also among the most spectacular found in the whole of the Kimberley. Silica Bay on Hidden Island is a favourite swimming spot for Broome and Derby residents that regularly travel the coast on fishing and adventure holidays. The white silica sand and crystal clear shallow waters provide welcome relief from the Kimberley heat.
