Ein erfahrener Tauchguide sorgt während der gesamten Kreuzfahrt dafür, dass Sie vollkommen sicher und entspannt an ausgewählten Orten Schwimmen und Tauchen können.
Zuerst steuert Ihr Schiff Antigua an, wo der britische Einfluss und die kreolische Kultur verschmelzen und den Postkartenlandschaften eine einzigartige Atmosphäre verleihen.
Anschließend geht es weiter zu den Britischen Jungferninseln, die zwischen den Kleinen und den Großen Antillen gelegen sind. Sie bestehen aus rund sechzig, zum größten Teil unbewohnten Inseln. Auf der Insel Jost Van Dyke haben Sie ausreichend Zeit für Entspannung am Strand und ein erfrischendes Bad im Meer.
Dann nimmt die Le Champlain Kurs auf die Insel Saint-Barthélemy, die für ihre wilden Buchten und eleganten Laden-Gässchen berühmt ist.
Als nächstes entdecken Sie die bezaubernde Landschaft der Insel Dominica, die auch die „Naturinsel“ genannt wird, bevor Sie weiter südlich nach St. Lucia fahren und die beiden dortigen erloschenen Vulkane beobachten, die direkt aus dem Meer emporsteigen. Tauchen & erster Tauchgang
Begleitung der Tauchgänge
Ihre Tauchgänge werden von unseren PONANT Tauchguides begleitet. Diese werden sich um Ihre Sicherheit und einen reibungslosen Ablauf kümmern. An einigen Tauchplätzen, wie in Naturschutzgebieten oder wenn die örtlichen Vorschriften dies vorschreiben, wird zusätzlich ein lokaler Führer das Tauchen begleiten.
Erforderliches Tauchlevel während dieser Kreuzfahrt
Das erforderliche Niveau für Gäste, die während dieser Kreuzfahrt tauchen möchten, ist PADI Open Water Diver, CMAS 1 Stern oder ein gleichwertiges Zertifikat. Die Zertifizierung, das Tauchlogbuch und ein aktuelles ärztliches Attest (weniger als 12 Monate alt) müssen zu Beginn der Kreuzfahrt den PONANT Tauchguides vorgelegt werden.
Ablauf der Tauchgänge (zertifizierte Taucher)
Der Tauchguide behält sich das Recht vor, die Fähigkeit der Taucher auf maximale Sicherheit zu überprüfen. Da wir an abgelegenen Orten tauchen, werden die Tauchgänge ohne Dekompressionsstopp durchgeführt. Ein Sicherheitsstopp von 3 Minuten bei 5 Metern ist obligatorisch. Die Tiefe, die erreicht werden kann, hängt von der Zertifizierung der Taucher ab:
- Für diejenigen mit PADI Advanced Open Water Diver-Zertifikat (oder einem gleichwertigen Zertifikat) beträgt die maximale Tiefe bis zu 20 Meter.
- Wenn zwei CMAS sterne oder PADI Advanced Open Water Divers (oder gleichwertiges Zertifikat) unabhängig tauchen möchten, müssen sie zuerst eine Einweisung erhalten. Sie müssen Tauchcomputer haben und dürfen maximal eine Tiefe von 20 Metern erreichen.
Ablauf der Schnuppertauchgänge (Tauchanfänger)
Vor dem ersten Tauchgang zeigt Ihnen der Tauchguide die Ausrüstung und erklärt, wie unter Wasser mit Handzeichen kommuniziert wird und wie das Atmen durch einen Atemregler funktioniert. Sobald Sie im Wasser sind und mit der entsprechenden Ausrüstung ausgestattet sind, lernen Sie, wie Sie einige Minuten lang durch Ihren Atemregler an der Oberfläche atmen. Wenn der Tauchguide das Gefühlt hat, dass Sie bereit sind, taucht er mit Ihnen etwa 20 Minuten lang bis zu einer Tiefe von maximal 6 Metern.
Dauer der Tauchgänge
Die Tauchgänge dauern 2 bis 3 Stunden, einschließlich der Fahrt zum Tauchplatz und des Tauchens. Diese Dauer kann je nach Standort, Taucherniveau, Wetterbedingungen und Teilnehmerzahl variieren. Für erfahrene Taucher variiert die Tauchdauer je nach Ort, Erfahrung und Verbrauch des Tauchers zwischen 35 und 60 Minuten.

Tauchermaske und Schnorchel: Aufgrund von Covid-19 und der damit einhergehenden aktuellen Gesundheitssituation empfehlen wir Ihnen aus hygienischen Gründen, eine eigene Tauchermaske und Schnorchel mit an Bord zu bringen. In Ausnahmefällen können diese gemäß den Hygienebedingungen* ausgeliehen werden.
Gäste können an Tauchaktivitäten teilnehmen, sofern bestimmte Bedingungen eingehalten werden, die im Einklang mit den am Tag des Tauchgangs geltenden gesundheitlichen, wissenschaftlichen und medizinischen Maßnahmen festgelegt wurden.

Am Eingang des Hafens wacht das Fort Saint-Louis auf einem schmalen Streifen Land über die Hauptstadt von Martinique. Von dort oben eröffnet sich Ihnen eine einzigartige Aussicht. Die Kathedrale Saint-Louis oder die Schœlcher-Bibliothek zeugen von einer jahrhundertealten Geschichte, die eng mit der Insel verknüpft ist. Die Kathedrale Saint-Louis oder die Schœlcher-Bibliothek zeugen von einer jahrhundertealten Geschichte, die eng mit der Insel verknüpft ist. Sie können auf dem immer sehr farbenfrohen Großen Markt frische Kokosnuss kosten. Der Garten von Balata oder der Park Aimé Césaire ihrerseits, sind sehr angenehme grüne Oasen mitten im Herzen der Stadt.
Discover Antigua
From the pier, you will board your coach and drive to Dow's Hill interpretation centre. This fort on the southern coast overlooking the Nelson's Dockyard, has been renovated into an interpretation centre. Once arriving, you will see a multimedia presentation on Antiguan culture and folklore.
You will continue to the Blockhouse Ruins, built in 1787 and standing 446ft above the sea atop a sheer cliff above the Atlantic Ocean. You will overlook Indian Creek where the first Arawak Indians settled and lived. You can also see the St. James' Club on Mamora Bay and Eric Clapton's new house.
Next, you will visit Shirley Heights, the most southerly viewpoint in Antigua. The Shirley Heights fortress was built by the British to house the fleet stationed at English Harbor and was named after Sir Thomas Shirley. From 487ft above sea level cape, you will enjoy a panoramic view on Atlantic Ocean and English Harbor.
Then, you will enjoy a guided walk, followed by free time at Nelson's Dockyard village. Named after Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, the village was built in 1725, to provide a base for a squadron of ships patrolling the West Indies maintaining England's sea power. Today it is one of the biggest attractions of the eastern Caribbean, being the world's last remaining Georgian naval dockyards still in use today.
Before joining your ship, you will enjoy a refreshment.

Adventure & beach break
From the pier, board your 4-wheel drive vehicle and start your adventure to discover places inaccessible by coach. You guide will explain Antigua’s history, its past and life nowadays.
This expedition will lead you to the western and southern sides of the island where you will have the opportunity to stop at several viewpoints and sites.
You will discover Potworks Dam, the largest reservoir on the island, and Bettys Hope, a historic sugarcane plantation.
You will then head to the famous Devil's Bridge, this natural rock arch was declared National Park in 2008. The surroundings of the arch features several natural blowholes, shooting up the water and spray powered by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Get your camera ready to try to catch amazing pictures of this natural phenomenon.
Finally, you will go Long Bay beach where you will enjoy a refreshment along with fresh fruit.
Finally, return to the pier and your ship.

Snorkeling at Norman Island
Board the twin-engined Snorkel Launch.
Start your exploration enjoying a scenic 40-minute ride across to Norman Island to one of the B.V.I.’s prime snorkel sites.
An experienced snorkel Instructor will take you snorkeling to the uninhabited and legendary Norman Island. The reputed history of piracy on this island is immortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous book: Treasure Island. Snorkel in pristine surroundings at the Indians or the Caves at Treasure Point, where pirate treasure is said to have been hidden!
Then, you will navigate to a second site for more swimming and snorkeling in shallower waters before returning back to the ship Jost Van Dyke.

Boat & snorkelling tour
From the pier, board your boat and start sailing along the coast.
After a safety briefing, you will leave Gustavia's pier for "Les Ti-Saints" and its sheltered bay. You will discover different scenic panoramas of the island.
Once anchored in a bay, you will have some time to enjoy a swim in the warm waters of the bay or go snorkelling. An integral part of the Marine Reserve, the seabed near the rocks is particularly rich and colourful.
After enjoying your snorkeling time, followed by refreshments, you will re-board your boat and head back to the ship.

The Leeward Coast by catamaran
From the pier, board your catamaran and start sailing along the Leeward Coast.
After a safety briefing, you will leave Gustavia's pier for “pointe de Colombier” and its sheltered bay. Scenic panoramas of the island will be unveiled before your eyes while you sail.
Once anchored in Colombier Bay, you will have some free time to enjoy a swim in the warm waters of the bay, go snorkelling or simply relax under the sun.
Accessible only by sea or a 20-minute walk along a winding pathway from Flamand, this beach is famous for its tranquillity. An integral part of the Marine Reserve, the sea bed near the rocks is particularly rich and colourful. A favourite meeting place for tortoises, rays, lobsters and even dolphins.
After enjoying 1-hour of free time, followed by refreshments, you will reboard your catamaran and head back to the ship.

ATV Adventure
From the pier, board a taxi and take a short ride to the ATV parking lot. Upon arrival, you will fill the rental agreement and receive your equipment.
After the safety briefing, you will start your adventure by ATV. You will leave Gustavia and take the road above the harbour. The ride makes its way to Saint-Jean, where the airport lies, passing the famous “Col de la Tourmente” where you may come across a plane landing! Enjoy a first photo stop here.
Then, you will drive around the pond of Saint-Jean and climb up the hill that is overlooking Salines. Continuing via the valley of “Petite Salines”, you will arrive in “Grand Fond”, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and dominated by the “Morne Vitet”. This mountain, the highest on the island (286 m / 938 ft), offers beautiful scenery composed of a deep green valley and the blue and white of the raging ocean. Continue your drive along the water towards Toiny.
Finally, you will reach Lorient and its famous flowered cemetery, Saint-Jean and its sea resort style with shops and restaurants, and will make it back to Gustavia ATV’s parking lot. After check-out, you will walk back to the pier.

This tour involves a high level of effort and attention. Guests will drive their own vehicle amongst the heavy traffic. Drivers must be over 18 years old, passengers over 12 years old. Participants must wear closed shoes and a helmet during the tour. The operator will provide helmets. We recommend you wear long pants and a jacket while driving and protect yourself from the sun. The driver of the ATV must have a valid driver license with him as well as his own credit card. He will have to fill in the rental agreement. The driver is fully responsible for himself, for his passenger and for the vehicle. A €2000 security deposit will be collected on the credit card in case of any damages to the ATV. This amount will be unlocked after the tour, when the ATV will be controlled. The tour itinerary may be amended depending on traffic and roads conditions, therefore, total duration of this tour may vary accordingly. The ATV’s owner reserves the possibility to refuse a participant or stop the tour for a participant if he considers that the security of the participants can be jeopardised. The price is based on 2 people per ATV, in case a participant wants to be alone, he will have to purchase 2 tickets. This tour is limited to 8 ATV, so 8 drivers and 8 passengers.

Essential of Saint Kitts
From the pier, board your coach and start your 15-minute drive to Basseterre and discover Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, Romney Manor Botanical Gardens and Fairview Great House.
Basseterre is a historic capital with a mix of traditional French and Victorian architecture. Here, you will discover old churches, West Indian cottages, and a former slave market.
Your first stop will be made at the Romney Gardens and Caribelle Batik Studios. This 12-acre gardens setting are quite simply stunning. It is at this beautiful location that local artists produce the fabric and apparel for which Caribelle Batik has become widely acclaimed.
From the top of the Brimstone Hill fortress, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, enjoy panoramic views of the coast, the surrounding countryside and the neighbouring islands. The first cannons were brought to Brimstone Hill in 1690. The English and French engaged in frequent naval battles to gain control of this part of the world. This construction is an astonishing and ingenious architectural work. It is also one of the largest and best preserved in the Caribbean. The visit is a self-guided visit to Brimstone Hill. Your driver will provide history on Brimstone Hill on arrival and will also be present throughout the visit to answer any questions or queries.
You will then visit Fairview House for a journey back in time. This beautiful, 300-year-old property is a perfect example of a colonial house from that period on the island. During your visit, you will learn about the history of the owners of the house and the daily life of its inhabitants during the colonial period. From the veranda and the gardens, you will have a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea and the twin island of Nevis.
Then, a scenic 30-minute drive will take you back to your ship.

Sail & snorkel
From the pier, board your coach for a 15-minute drive to reach your catamaran.
Following a safety briefing, you will sail along the Leeward Coast of St Kitts, passing the Frigate Bay resort area and Friars Bay before arriving at the snorkelling destination.
Then you will sail to another snorkelling site as the secluded cove of Shittens Bay. This calm, unspoiled location is only accessible by sea and shelters an abundance of marine life, with several varieties of reef fish amongst the volcanic rock formations, sea fans and sponges. Special supervision is given to those who have never snorkelled before or those who are out of practice with the technique of snorkelling.
After this snorkelling adventure, the sails are hoisted for the final tranquil trip back to the ship. Enjoy an open bar serving ice-cold beer, rum punch and soft drinks.

Walking tour & Napoleon fortress
From the pier, you will meet your guide to discover the secrets of Terre-de-Haut.
After a short walk, you will board a mini-bus and drive to the Vauban-style Fort Napoléon which overlooks ‘La Baie des Saintes’. It was built in the mid-1800's as a tribute to Napoleon III on the site of the original Fort Louis, destroyed by the English in 1809.
From here, you can either go on the guided tour or explore the fort on your own. You will then stroll down to a shipyard in Marigot Bay to see how they build traditional boats, before heading for the centre of Bourg.
During this excursion, a snack of local delicacies "tourment d'amour" and local juices will be served.

Les Saintes by boat & swimming
From the pier, board your motorboat and start your scenic journey around the isles of les Saintes. The archipelago of les Saintes consists of nine islands spread between Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas main islands.
Head first to the Marigot bay, a place in Terre-de-Haut Island well-known by local fishermen, before going around to reach îlet à Cabrit and other islets.
Sailing along the southern coast of Terre-de-Haut Island, you will then reach the small uninhabited island of Grand Ilet, a paradise for tortoises and seabirds. Following a stop at La Coche, continue to Terre-de-Bas where you can see an old pottery workshop, as well as turtles and pelicans who settled there.
Back to Terre-de-Haut, you will then sail to the Pain de Sucre (Sugar loaf), a geological formation caused by an ancient basalt flow. There, enjoy some free time for bathing, snorkelling and having a refreshment, before sailing back to the pier and your ship.

Fort Caroline hike
On this hike, you will discover the dry vegetation characteristic of the north of the island, as well as magnificent views over the archipelago.
Your guide will take you from the pier to the boat house. You will walk along the road around the village towards the bay of Marigot to reach the start of the hiking trail.
You will start the climb by following the Conservatoire du Littoral trail to get your first view of Marigot. You will discover the flora typical of the island's arid zones, made up of candle cactus, aloe vera, tufts of mal-tête grass, frangipani and red gum trees. This magnificent walk offers superb views, including a privileged vantage point over Terre de Haut. As you continue your ascent, you will once again enjoy panoramic views of Terre de Bas, the Sugar Loaf and, opposite, Fort Napoléon.
You will then switch to the Marie-Galante side to reach the summit of Morne Morel, 136m above sea level. Known locally as Battery Caroline, this was a strategic position where, until the 19th century, soldiers could easily spot the enemy fleet. From the old fortifications, you will catch a glimpse of La Dominique.
You will then start the descent, which can be a little technical on the stony path, but will take you down to the Bay of Pompierre, with its superb beach lined with coconut palms. Your guide will be sure to tell you all about the different species that make up the fauna, as well as the cursed fig tree.
Finally, you will return by road to the village and your ship.

This excursion involves a 3-hour walk on the road and an irregular path of pebbles and gravel. There is a 150m difference in altitude. Occasional hikers can easily undertake this trek. We recommend you bring a small rucksack with water (minimum 1l per person), sun protection and light hiking shoes or sneakers. The hike is not suitable in wet weather due to slippery descents and passages under the manchineels.

Indian River by rowboat
From the pier, board your coach for a 15-minute transfer to the Indian River.
The Indian River is like a mini-Amazon teeming with life. It runs through the centre of the town of Portsmouth, in the North of Dominica. The river was named the Indian River after the settlements of the Kalinago, formally known as Carib Indians, which existed on the upper banks of that river.
The Indian River gushes down the Morne aux Diables Mountain range and gently meanders down to the lowlands of Portsmouth, where it flows gracefully into the Caribbean Sea. Due to its unique formation, being below sea level, the water at the lower areas of the river is brackish, contributing to the unique variety of plants and animal life. The Indian River showcases flora and fauna that are specific only to that area of Dominica. Local fauna includes herons, king fisher, iguanas, and a variety of other birds, many of which are still present after the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Vegetation continues to grow and is returning in full force.
Experienced boatmen in hand-oared wooden rowboats will take you up the slow-moving river at a leisurely pace, so that you can appreciate the many types of wildlife and plant life along the swampy riverbanks.
See first-hand where scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed. Upriver you can take a short 10-minute walk in the botanical gardens and visit the renowned “Bush Bar”, where you can try their homemade rum punch.
After your 2-hour adventure, you will reboard your coach for a 15-minute drive back to your ship.

Syndicate Nature trail
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute drive to Syndicate, where you will start your hiking tour.
Nestled in the foothills of Dominica’s tallest mountain, Morne Diablotin, and close to the Picard River Gorge, is the Syndicate Nature Trail. Located in the National Park, this lasso trail is home to Dominica’s National Bird — the Sisserou Parrot (Amazona imperialis) — and the Jaco (Amazona arausiaca). The Syndicate area is popular for bird watching as it is a bird sanctuary for some of the 51 species of local and migratory birds that may be found in the park. This area also has a diverse array of flora. It is a key location for research and educational purposes and has lovely view points along a walking path.
The trail looping through the forest will allow you to discover the main interest points and offers a panoramic view on the Dublanc River Valley. If you are particularly lucky, you could see a Jaco or a Sisserou Parrot, the National Bird. The forest is full of other life forms, including four species of hummingbirds.
Upon completion of your short hike, you will proceed to Plantation Grove for refreshments, before embarking on the 45-minute drive back to your ship.

Chocolate between history & tasting
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute, scenic drive to the village of Calibishie and Pointe Baptiste.
Pointe Baptiste cocoa is harvested and gathered from local farmers in an ecological manner. The chocolate factory is a small family business which supports sustainable practices.
Upon arrival, you will be personally welcomed by the family and invited to discover their estate, learn about cocoa farming and the chocolate making process. They will share their knowledge and experience, and show you all the different processes used in making chocolate — from bean to bar.
After your visit, you will taste their fine chocolate bars. They offer many different varieties of chocolate: dark chocolate, ginger, coffee, spice, hot pepper, lemongrass, tangerine, mint and milk chocolate.
Finally, you will reboard your coach for a 45-minute drive back to your ship.

Soufriere by sea & land
During this tour, discover the tropical island’s natural beauty.
From the pier, board your catamaran for a cruise along the west coast, passing Castries harbour before arriving to Marigot Bay. Your cruise continues to "Anse Cochon" where you will enjoy a nice swimming. From here, you will head to Soufrière, home of the majestic Pitons.
From Soufrière pier, you will disembark the catamaran and board a bus for the short drive through the historic town of Soufriere to the Old Mill restaurant where a local buffet lunch and local fruit juice will be served.
After your lunch, you will continue to the Botanical Gardens and Diamond Baths, where the exuberant vegetation spreads its colour among a profusion of exotic flowers. The garden was a famous spot for Napoléon's wife, Joséphine. Marvel at the tropical plants carefully arranged along the sides of the pathway leading to the waterfall.
After this retreat from the outside world, you will drive Soufrière, referred to as the Caribbean's only "drive-in" volcano. This historic site is the result of volcanic eruptions some 300,000 years ago. The Soufrière is an active volcano, where you will have the occasion to observe the Sulphur springs. Smell the sulphur as you enter the gates and inhale the natural scents (it has been proven that the sulphur water has many medicinal properties). See the sulphuric fumaroles and steam jet escape from the soil whereas the sulphurous water of the natural baths boil at a temperature which can reaching 338 °F (170 °C).
After a short drive, you will reach Morne Coubaril Estate for a guided tour hof this sprawling plateau farm and have your lunch. Producer of cocoa, coffee, coconuts, bananas and an assortment of other tropical products, this working plantation has been in the business of cultivation since the 17th century. It maintains some of the same harvesting and processing practices that have served it in good stead for hundreds of years.
Finally, you will return to your ship, at anchor in Soufrière Bay.

Union Island and Salt Whistle bay
A smooth, short sail takes you to your first stop, Union Island, in the small unique village of Clifton Bay. There, you will be greeted with a locally made refreshing welcome drink and snack.

Catamaran & snorkelling
From the pier, board the catamaran and enjoy a journey into the heart of the Caribbean Sea.
Bequia is considered by many as one of the most beautiful dive spots in the Caribbean Sea. This archipelago shelters 30 easily accessible sites with crystal-clear waters offering exceptional views: caves and holes, walls and overhangs, hiding beautiful coral formations and marine life.
While sailing the crystalline waters, pass by “Moonhole”, a private community known for the lifestyle of its inhabitants: completely in harmony with nature. The lodgings are built directly into the landscape and most feature neither windows nor doors. After your discovery of this “Flintstones-esque” village, you will head to Petite Nevis, a region emblematic of whaling. There, you will drop anchor and be able to truly enjoy the seascape or even partake in a bit of snorkelling.
Finally, a 30-minute sail will take you back to your ship.

Relax at Lower Bay beach
From the pier, board your open-air jeep for a short 15-minute drive to the virgin Lower Bay Beach.
Upon your arrival at this sun splashed tropical oasis, receive a brief orientation before spending over two hours relaxing at your leisure.
During your visit, enjoy the golden-sand beaches, and swim in the inviting blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. You will relax in a comfortable lounge chair and soak up the warm, tropical sun with the sand between your toes and the warm, tropical breeze in your hair.
Whenever you would like to enjoy some refreshments, complimentary soft drinks and water are available from the bar. From this vantage point, you can also see your ship anchored peacefully in the bay.
After your visit, re-board your open-air jeep and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Discover Saint Vincent
From the pier, you will board your minibus and start your drive through Kingstown. On Bay Street, you will see many historical artefacts and buildings which contributed to the Vincentian society of today. You will discover the Kingstown Vegetable Market, vibrant with tropical colour, the Cenotaph and other interesting sites on your way to Fort Charlotte rising 636 feet out of the sea.
A photo stop at the fort will allow you to admire the panoramic view over Kingstown.
Then, you will drive to the Saint Vincent Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. Your guide will tell you all about the endemic plants and their uses. You will see the Amazona Guildingii or Vincy parrot, the national bird. After your visit, you will enjoy a refreshing drink.
You will get back to Kingstown where you will see the Cathedral of The Assumption, the St. Georges Cathedral with its famous glass window, the houses of parliament and the famed arches for which Kingstown is known.
Finally, you will drive to the surrounding villages to enjoy a photo stop at the Cane Garden lookout before getting back to the pier.

Discover Antigua
From the pier, you will board your coach and drive to Dow's Hill interpretation centre. This fort on the southern coast overlooking the Nelson's Dockyard, has been renovated into an interpretation centre. Once arriving, you will see a multimedia presentation on Antiguan culture and folklore.
You will continue to the Blockhouse Ruins, built in 1787 and standing 446ft above the sea atop a sheer cliff above the Atlantic Ocean. You will overlook Indian Creek where the first Arawak Indians settled and lived. You can also see the St. James' Club on Mamora Bay and Eric Clapton's new house.
Next, you will visit Shirley Heights, the most southerly viewpoint in Antigua. The Shirley Heights fortress was built by the British to house the fleet stationed at English Harbor and was named after Sir Thomas Shirley. From 487ft above sea level cape, you will enjoy a panoramic view on Atlantic Ocean and English Harbor.
Then, you will enjoy a guided walk, followed by free time at Nelson's Dockyard village. Named after Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, the village was built in 1725, to provide a base for a squadron of ships patrolling the West Indies maintaining England's sea power. Today it is one of the biggest attractions of the eastern Caribbean, being the world's last remaining Georgian naval dockyards still in use today.

Adventure & beach break
From the pier, board your 4-wheel drive vehicle and start your adventure to discover places inaccessible by coach. You guide will explain Antigua’s history, its past and life nowadays.
This expedition will lead you to the western and southern sides of the island where you will have the opportunity to stop at several viewpoints and sites.
You will discover Potworks Dam, the largest reservoir on the island, and Bettys Hope, a historic sugarcane plantation.
You will then head to the famous Devil's Bridge, this natural rock arch was declared National Park in 2008. The surroundings of the arch features several natural blowholes, shooting up the water and spray powered by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Get your camera ready to try to catch amazing pictures of this natural phenomenon.
Finally, you will go Long Bay beach where you will enjoy a refreshment along with fresh fruit.

Snorkeling at Norman Island
Board the twin-engined Snorkel Launch.
Start your exploration enjoying a scenic 40-minute ride across to Norman Island to one of the B.V.I.’s prime snorkel sites.
An experienced snorkel Instructor will take you snorkeling to the uninhabited and legendary Norman Island. The reputed history of piracy on this island is immortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous book: Treasure Island. Snorkel in pristine surroundings at the Indians or the Caves at Treasure Point, where pirate treasure is said to have been hidden!
Then, you will navigate to a second site for more swimming and snorkeling in shallower waters before returning back to the ship Jost Van Dyke.

Boat & snorkelling tour
From the pier, board your boat and start sailing along the coast.
After a safety briefing, you will leave Gustavia's pier for "Les Ti-Saints" and its sheltered bay. You will discover different scenic panoramas of the island.
Once anchored in a bay, you will have some time to enjoy a swim in the warm waters of the bay or go snorkelling. An integral part of the Marine Reserve, the seabed near the rocks is particularly rich and colourful.
After enjoying your snorkeling time, followed by refreshments, you will re-board your boat and head back to the ship.

The Leeward Coast by catamaran
From the pier, board your catamaran and start sailing along the Leeward Coast.
After a safety briefing, you will leave Gustavia's pier for “pointe de Colombier” and its sheltered bay. Scenic panoramas of the island will be unveiled before your eyes while you sail.
Once anchored in Colombier Bay, you will have some free time to enjoy a swim in the warm waters of the bay, go snorkelling or simply relax under the sun.
Accessible only by sea or a 20-minute walk along a winding pathway from Flamand, this beach is famous for its tranquillity. An integral part of the Marine Reserve, the sea bed near the rocks is particularly rich and colourful. A favourite meeting place for tortoises, rays, lobsters and even dolphins.
After enjoying 1-hour of free time, followed by refreshments, you will reboard your catamaran and head back to the ship.

ATV Adventure
From the pier, board a taxi and take a short ride to the ATV parking lot. Upon arrival, you will fill the rental agreement and receive your equipment.
After the safety briefing, you will start your adventure by ATV. You will leave Gustavia and take the road above the harbour. The ride makes its way to Saint-Jean, where the airport lies, passing the famous “Col de la Tourmente” where you may come across a plane landing! Enjoy a first photo stop here.
Then, you will drive around the pond of Saint-Jean and climb up the hill that is overlooking Salines. Continuing via the valley of “Petite Salines”, you will arrive in “Grand Fond”, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and dominated by the “Morne Vitet”. This mountain, the highest on the island (286 m / 938 ft), offers beautiful scenery composed of a deep green valley and the blue and white of the raging ocean. Continue your drive along the water towards Toiny.
Finally, you will reach Lorient and its famous flowered cemetery, Saint-Jean and its sea resort style with shops and restaurants, and will make it back to Gustavia ATV’s parking lot. After check-out, you will walk back to the pier.

This tour involves a high level of effort and attention. Guests will drive their own vehicle amongst the heavy traffic. Drivers must be over 18 years old, passengers over 12 years old. Participants must wear closed shoes and a helmet during the tour. The operator will provide helmets. We recommend you wear long pants and a jacket while driving and protect yourself from the sun. The driver of the ATV must have a valid driver license with him as well as his own credit card. He will have to fill in the rental agreement. The driver is fully responsible for himself, for his passenger and for the vehicle. A €2000 security deposit will be collected on the credit card in case of any damages to the ATV. This amount will be unlocked after the tour, when the ATV will be controlled. The tour itinerary may be amended depending on traffic and roads conditions, therefore, total duration of this tour may vary accordingly. The ATV’s owner reserves the possibility to refuse a participant or stop the tour for a participant if he considers that the security of the participants can be jeopardised. Essential of Saint Kitts
From the pier, board your coach and start your 15-minute drive to Basseterre and discover Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, Romney Manor Botanical Gardens and Fairview Great House.
Basseterre is a historic capital with a mix of traditional French and Victorian architecture. Here, you will discover old churches, West Indian cottages, and a former slave market.
Your first stop will be made at the Romney Gardens and Caribelle Batik Studios. This 12-acre gardens setting are quite simply stunning. It is at this beautiful location that local artists produce the fabric and apparel for which Caribelle Batik has become widely acclaimed.
From the top of the Brimstone Hill fortress, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, enjoy panoramic views of the coast, the surrounding countryside and the neighbouring islands. The first cannons were brought to Brimstone Hill in 1690. The English and French engaged in frequent naval battles to gain control of this part of the world. This construction is an astonishing and ingenious architectural work. It is also one of the largest and best preserved in the Caribbean. The visit is a self-guided visit to Brimstone Hill. Your driver will provide history on Brimstone Hill on arrival and will also be present throughout the visit to answer any questions or queries.
You will then visit Fairview House for a journey back in time. This beautiful, 300-year-old property is a perfect example of a colonial house from that period on the island. During your visit, you will learn about the history of the owners of the house and the daily life of its inhabitants during the colonial period. From the veranda and the gardens, you will have a panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea and the twin island of Nevis.
Then, a scenic 30-minute drive will take you back to your ship.

Sail & snorkel
From the pier, board your coach for a 15-minute drive to reach your catamaran.
Following a safety briefing, you will sail along the Leeward Coast of St Kitts, passing the Frigate Bay resort area and Friars Bay before arriving at the snorkelling destination.
Then you will sail to another snorkelling site as the secluded cove of Shittens Bay. This calm, unspoiled location is only accessible by sea and shelters an abundance of marine life, with several varieties of reef fish amongst the volcanic rock formations, sea fans and sponges. Special supervision is given to those who have never snorkelled before or those who are out of practice with the technique of snorkelling.
After this snorkelling adventure, the sails are hoisted for the final tranquil trip back to the ship. Enjoy an open bar serving ice-cold beer, rum punch and soft drinks.

Walking tour & Napoleon fortress
From the pier, you will meet your guide to discover the secrets of Terre-de-Haut.
After a short walk, you will board a mini-bus and drive to the Vauban-style Fort Napoléon which overlooks ‘La Baie des Saintes’. It was built in the mid-1800's as a tribute to Napoleon III on the site of the original Fort Louis, destroyed by the English in 1809.
From here, you can either go on the guided tour or explore the fort on your own. You will then stroll down to a shipyard in Marigot Bay to see how they build traditional boats, before heading for the centre of Bourg.
During this excursion, a snack of local delicacies "tourment d'amour" and local juices will be served.

Les Saintes by boat & swimming
From the pier, board your motorboat and start your scenic journey around the isles of les Saintes. The archipelago of les Saintes consists of nine islands spread between Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas main islands.
Head first to the Marigot bay, a place in Terre-de-Haut Island well-known by local fishermen, before going around to reach îlet à Cabrit and other islets.
Sailing along the southern coast of Terre-de-Haut Island, you will then reach the small uninhabited island of Grand Ilet, a paradise for tortoises and seabirds. Following a stop at La Coche, continue to Terre-de-Bas where you can see an old pottery workshop, as well as turtles and pelicans who settled there.
Back to Terre-de-Haut, you will then sail to the Pain de Sucre (Sugar loaf), a geological formation caused by an ancient basalt flow. There, enjoy some free time for bathing, snorkelling and having a refreshment, before sailing back to the pier and your ship.

Fort Caroline hike
On this hike, you will discover the dry vegetation characteristic of the north of the island, as well as magnificent views over the archipelago.
Your guide will take you from the pier to the boat house. You will walk along the road around the village towards the bay of Marigot to reach the start of the hiking trail.
You will start the climb by following the Conservatoire du Littoral trail to get your first view of Marigot. You will discover the flora typical of the island's arid zones, made up of candle cactus, aloe vera, tufts of mal-tête grass, frangipani and red gum trees. This magnificent walk offers superb views, including a privileged vantage point over Terre de Haut. As you continue your ascent, you will once again enjoy panoramic views of Terre de Bas, the Sugar Loaf and, opposite, Fort Napoléon.
You will then switch to the Marie-Galante side to reach the summit of Morne Morel, 136m above sea level. Known locally as Battery Caroline, this was a strategic position where, until the 19th century, soldiers could easily spot the enemy fleet. From the old fortifications, you will catch a glimpse of La Dominique.
You will then start the descent, which can be a little technical on the stony path, but will take you down to the Bay of Pompierre, with its superb beach lined with coconut palms. Your guide will be sure to tell you all about the different species that make up the fauna, as well as the cursed fig tree.
Finally, you will return by road to the village and your ship.

This excursion involves a 3-hour walk on the road and an irregular path of pebbles and gravel. There is a 150m difference in altitude. Occasional hikers can easily undertake this trek. We recommend you bring a small rucksack with water (minimum 1l per person), sun protection and light hiking shoes or sneakers. The hike is not suitable in wet weather due to slippery descents and passages under the manchineels.

Indian River by rowboat
From the pier, board your coach for a 15-minute transfer to the Indian River.
The Indian River is like a mini-Amazon teeming with life. It runs through the centre of the town of Portsmouth, in the North of Dominica. The river was named the Indian River after the settlements of the Kalinago, formally known as Carib Indians, which existed on the upper banks of that river.
The Indian River gushes down the Morne aux Diables Mountain range and gently meanders down to the lowlands of Portsmouth, where it flows gracefully into the Caribbean Sea. Due to its unique formation, being below sea level, the water at the lower areas of the river is brackish, contributing to the unique variety of plants and animal life. The Indian River showcases flora and fauna that are specific only to that area of Dominica. Local fauna includes herons, king fisher, iguanas, and a variety of other birds, many of which are still present after the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Vegetation continues to grow and is returning in full force.
Experienced boatmen in hand-oared wooden rowboats will take you up the slow-moving river at a leisurely pace, so that you can appreciate the many types of wildlife and plant life along the swampy riverbanks.
See first-hand where scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed. Upriver you can take a short 10-minute walk in the botanical gardens and visit the renowned “Bush Bar”, where you can try their homemade rum punch.
After your 2-hour adventure, you will reboard your coach for a 15-minute drive back to your ship.

Syndicate Nature trail
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute drive to Syndicate, where you will start your hiking tour.
Nestled in the foothills of Dominica’s tallest mountain, Morne Diablotin, and close to the Picard River Gorge, is the Syndicate Nature Trail. Located in the National Park, this lasso trail is home to Dominica’s National Bird — the Sisserou Parrot (Amazona imperialis) — and the Jaco (Amazona arausiaca). The Syndicate area is popular for bird watching as it is a bird sanctuary for some of the 51 species of local and migratory birds that may be found in the park. This area also has a diverse array of flora. It is a key location for research and educational purposes and has lovely view points along a walking path.
The trail looping through the forest will allow you to discover the main interest points and offers a panoramic view on the Dublanc River Valley. If you are particularly lucky, you could see a Jaco or a Sisserou Parrot, the National Bird. The forest is full of other life forms, including four species of hummingbirds.
Upon completion of your short hike, you will proceed to Plantation Grove for refreshments, before embarking on the 45-minute drive back to your ship.

Chocolate between history & tasting
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute, scenic drive to the village of Calibishie and Pointe Baptiste.
Pointe Baptiste cocoa is harvested and gathered from local farmers in an ecological manner. The chocolate factory is a small family business which supports sustainable practices.
Upon arrival, you will be personally welcomed by the family and invited to discover their estate, learn about cocoa farming and the chocolate making process. They will share their knowledge and experience, and show you all the different processes used in making chocolate — from bean to bar.
After your visit, you will taste their fine chocolate bars. They offer many different varieties of chocolate: dark chocolate, ginger, coffee, spice, hot pepper, lemongrass, tangerine, mint and milk chocolate.
Finally, you will reboard your coach for a 45-minute drive back to your ship.

Soufriere by sea & land
During this tour, discover the tropical island’s natural beauty.
From the pier, board your catamaran for a cruise along the west coast, passing Castries harbour before arriving to Marigot Bay. Your cruise continues to "Anse Cochon" where you will enjoy a nice swimming. From here, you will head to Soufrière, home of the majestic Pitons.
From Soufrière pier, you will disembark the catamaran and board a bus for the short drive through the historic town of Soufriere to the Old Mill restaurant where a local buffet lunch and local fruit juice will be served.
After your lunch, you will continue to the Botanical Gardens and Diamond Baths, where the exuberant vegetation spreads its colour among a profusion of exotic flowers. The garden was a famous spot for Napoléon's wife, Joséphine. Marvel at the tropical plants carefully arranged along the sides of the pathway leading to the waterfall.
After this retreat from the outside world, you will drive Soufrière, referred to as the Caribbean's only "drive-in" volcano. This historic site is the result of volcanic eruptions some 300,000 years ago. The Soufrière is an active volcano, where you will have the occasion to observe the Sulphur springs. Smell the sulphur as you enter the gates and inhale the natural scents (it has been proven that the sulphur water has many medicinal properties). See the sulphuric fumaroles and steam jet escape from the soil whereas the sulphurous water of the natural baths boil at a temperature which can reaching 338 °F (170 °C).
After a short drive, you will reach Morne Coubaril Estate for a guided tour hof this sprawling plateau farm and have your lunch. Producer of cocoa, coffee, coconuts, bananas and an assortment of other tropical products, this working plantation has been in the business of cultivation since the 17th century. It maintains some of the same harvesting and processing practices that have served it in good stead for hundreds of years.
Finally, you will return to your ship, at anchor in Soufrière Bay.

Ziplining in Saint Lucia's forest
From the pier, you will meet your local guide and board your minivan (or bus) for a 30-minute scenic drive to the community of Chassin and the “Rainforest Sky Rides” park, St Lucia’s premiere eco-adventure park located in the heights of St Lucia’s Forest Reserve.
This original activity will allow you to discover the beauty of the island and the richness of its flora and fauna from a unique vantage point. You'll be in for a real thrill on this dynamic and sporting tour.
Upon your arrival at the park, you will be met by your zipline guides for a briefing, and they will help you get geared up as you are hitched up to a series of cables, zipping from platform to platform through the island’s lush rainforest.
After your ziplining activity,you will enjoy a short and easy nature hike through the rainforest with a naturalist guie before tasting local refreshments and have some time to browse through the Amazona Gift shop.

Union Island and Salt Whistle bay
A smooth, short sail takes you to your first stop, Union Island, in the small unique village of Clifton Bay. There, you will be greeted with a locally made refreshing welcome drink and snack.

You will reboard your catamaran and enjoy a second stop at Salt Whistle Bay, voted one of the most beautiful beaches of the Grenadines. It’s an, ideal place for a little swim before heading back to your ship.

Catamaran & snorkelling
From the pier, board the catamaran and enjoy a journey into the heart of the Caribbean Sea.
Bequia is considered by many as one of the most beautiful dive spots in the Caribbean Sea. This archipelago shelters 30 easily accessible sites with crystal-clear waters offering exceptional views: caves and holes, walls and overhangs, hiding beautiful coral formations and marine life.
While sailing the crystalline waters, pass by “Moonhole”, a private community known for the lifestyle of its inhabitants: completely in harmony with nature. The lodgings are built directly into the landscape and most feature neither windows nor doors. After your discovery of this “Flintstones-esque” village, you will head to Petite Nevis, a region emblematic of whaling. There, you will drop anchor and be able to truly enjoy the seascape or even partake in a bit of snorkelling.
Finally, a 30-minute sail will take you back to your ship.

Relax at Lower Bay beach
From the pier, board your open-air jeep for a short 15-minute drive to the virgin Lower Bay Beach.
Upon your arrival at this sun splashed tropical oasis, receive a brief orientation before spending over two hours relaxing at your leisure.
During your visit, enjoy the golden-sand beaches, and swim in the inviting blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. You will relax in a comfortable lounge chair and soak up the warm, tropical sun with the sand between your toes and the warm, tropical breeze in your hair.
Whenever you would like to enjoy some refreshments, complimentary soft drinks and water are available from the bar. From this vantage point, you can also see your ship anchored peacefully in the bay.
After your visit, re-board your open-air jeep and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Discover Saint Vincent
From the pier, you will board your minibus and start your drive through Kingstown. On Bay Street, you will see many historical artefacts and buildings which contributed to the Vincentian society of today. You will discover the Kingstown Vegetable Market, vibrant with tropical colour, the Cenotaph and other interesting sites on your way to Fort Charlotte rising 636 feet out of the sea.
A photo stop at the fort will allow you to admire the panoramic view over Kingstown.
Then, you will drive to the Saint Vincent Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. Your guide will tell you all about the endemic plants and their uses. You will see the Amazona Guildingii or Vincy parrot, the national bird. After your visit, you will enjoy a refreshing drink.
You will get back to Kingstown where you will see the Cathedral of The Assumption, the St. Georges Cathedral with its famous glass window, the houses of parliament and the famed arches for which Kingstown is known.
Finally, you will drive to the surrounding villages to enjoy a photo stop at the Cane Garden lookout before getting back to the pier.
