PONANT lädt Sie zu einer neuen 9-tägigen Kreuzfahrt an Bord der Le Bellot ein, auf der Sie das Land der Kelten von Dublin über Wales und Nordirland bis in die Grafschaft Cork hautnah erleben.
Von Dublin, der irischen Hauptstadt mit einer geselligen Atmosphäre und authentischem Charme, geht es weiter in die mittelalterliche Stadt Youghal. Vom Hafen aus gelangt man leicht in das historische Stadtviertel Raleigh, wo die St. Mary's Collegiate Church und der Uhrenturm einen Besuch wert sind. Bei einem Spaziergang entlang der alten Festungsmauern, die zu den besterhaltenen in Irland zählen, können Sie die Aussicht auf die Bucht genießen. Bei einer Fahrt auf dem Blackwater River sehen Sie prächtige Landhäuser wie das der Jameson-Schwestern, direkte Nachfahren von John Jameson, dem Gründer der berühmten irischen Whiskey-Destillerie.
Dann legen Sie in dem kleinen, geschützten Fischereihafen Ballycotton an. Seine schwarzer Leuchtturm auf einer Felseninsel ist weltberühmt. Sie können die Insel im Zodiac umrunden. Bei einer Wanderung entlang der Steilküste könne Sie mit etwas Glück Wanderfalken, Seehunde und Delfine beobachten. Ganz in der Nähe liegt Fota House, ein ehemaliges Landhaus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Es beherbergt eine bemerkenswerte Gemäldesammlung, ein Arboretum und wunderschön restaurierte Gärten.
Dann läuft die Le Bellot in den malerischen kleinen Hafen von Kinsale in der Bucht von Bandon ein. Mit seinen engen Gassen mit bunten Fassaden, Cafés, Pubs, Galerien und Geschäften ist Kinsale eine der beliebtesten Städte Irlands und genießt zudem den Ruf, die gastronomische Hauptstadt des Landes zu sein.
In Baltimore fahren Sie mit dem Tenderboot durch die legendären Hundert Inseln von Carbery, benannt nach dem Gedicht The Sack of Baltimore des irischen Schriftstellers Thomas Davis, das an den schlimmsten Piratenüberfall erinnert, der Europa im Sommer 1631 heimsuchte. Sie legen auf der Insel Sherkin an, die im Sommer von Künstlern bewohnt wird. Kleine Cottages und Werkstätten empfangen die Besucher in den von Fuchsien gesäumten Gassen.
Dann nehmen Sie Kurs auf die Küste von Wales. In Zodiacs umrunden Sie die Insel Skomer. Umgeben von spektakulären Felswänden ist das nationale Naturschutzgebiet einer der schönsten Orte des Landes. Dieses Vogelparadies beherbergt zahlreiche Arten wie den Atlantiksturmtaucher, den Tordalk, den Basstölpel und den Eissturmvogel. Die Gewässer rund um die Insel gehören zu den artenreichsten der Britischen Inseln. Im Spätsommer können Sie Seehunde, Delfine, Schweinswale sowie den kuriosen Mondfisch beobachten.
Anschließend legt die Le Bellot in Fishguard an, einem ruhigen Küstenstädtchen zwischen zwei Hügeln – ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die walisische Landschaft zu erkunden.
Schließlich erreichen Sie das nordirische Seebad Warrenpoint. Hier können Sie im Silent Valley Nationalpark in einer großartigen Landschaft wandern. Danach geht es zurück nach Dublin, wo die Kreuzfahrt endet.

Landings can be operated in tenders, in zodiac or on the quayside. Programmes include moderate walks to more active hikes, all accompanied by your team of naturalist guides.
Ports of call, visited sites, and landings will depend on weather conditions, winds and the state of the sea. These can force a change of plans at any time. The Captain may at any time cancel or stop any activity, or even modify the itinerary. The final itinerary will be confirmed by the Captain, who will take into account the touristic quality of the sites and above all, the safety of the passengers. His decision will be based on advice from experts and authorities.

Drive through beautiful coastal countryside to St David's, where you will first enjoy a guided tour of the cathedral. It is famous for housing the relics of St David, the patron saint of Wales, and has long served as a place of pilgrimage. Architectural features include the nave's carved Welsh wooden ceiling, the stained glass rose window and the Treasury, which houses many sacred relics, some of which were unearthed in the tombs of the cathedral's first bishops. You will also visit the ruins of the bishop's palace, the medieval cathedral that would have rivalled today's cathedral in terms of glory.
Enjoy some free time to explore the town of St Davids before returning to the port.

Set off to discover Fishguard, with its rich heritage, marine landscapes and unexpected wildlife encounters.
Let the whispers of the past guide you into the pretty village of Fishguard, where the stars of the silver screen, adventurers from France and herring fishermen have all left their mark. This lively port still resonates with the echoes of a prosperous trade dating back to the 16th century. Under the reign of Elizabeth I, the generous waters provided endless shoals of herring. The inhabitants themselves, affectionately nicknamed “sgadan Abergwaun” – Fishguard herrings – were proud of this connection with the sea.
Discover history as it reveals itself in the sculptures hidden along the paths, silent witnesses of a bygone era. Walking along the port, your gaze will perhaps fall upon the furtive games of seals, the graceful leap of porpoises or the sparkle of a dolphin in the waves. Then, in the heart of the village, the Town Hall will welcome you so you can see the Last Invasion Tapestry, a masterpiece inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry. With finesse and details, it tells the story of the last invasion of mainland Britain.

Although deeply immersed in history, the real gem of this day lies in its breathtaking viewpoint. Here, you will be greeted by a panoramic view that rivals any in Northern Ireland, showcasing the majestic Mourne Mountains as they gracefully descend to the sea.
You will pass through Mourne's most iconic structure, the Mourne Wall. This stunning structure spans 14 of Mourne's highest peaks, over a length of 22 miles. The granite of this dry-stone wall was hand-hewn from the mountain over 100 years ago. Here, you will hear stories about the wall's construction and the lives of the local men who worked on it.

Castlewellan forest park by e-bike
This guided electric bike tour takes you through the enchanting landscapes of Castlewellan Forest Park, offering a mix of gentle rides, panoramic views and a touch of history. Nestled in the heart of County Down, the Castlewellan Estate is known for its lush forests, serene lakes and rich heritage. This eco-friendly electric bike experience allows everyone to enjoy the journey at a comfortable pace, with delicious bites to savor amidst the park's natural beauty.
The tour begins in Castlewellan's historic courtyard, where participants are greeted by a local guide. The stone walls of the courtyard and the imposing Castlewellan Castle loom large on the horizon, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the estate, which was home to the Annesley family in the 19th century. The first part of the tour takes you along a winding path through the world-famous Castlewellan arboretum. Home to one of Ireland's finest collections of rare and exotic trees, the arboretum is a hidden gem, with towering redwoods, elegant cedars and dazzling rhododendrons creating a lush canopy overhead. The guide will stop at key points and tell anecdotes about the estate's botanical wonders, including some trees planted over 150 years ago. Leaving the gardens behind, head for picturesque Castlewellan Lake. Cycle along the well-maintained path that runs alongside the lake, its serene waters glistening in the sunlight. Oak, beech and evergreen trees frame the path, while the Mourne Mountains provide a spectacular backdrop. There are stops along the way for picnics and tastings of local produce.
As you drive on, you will come across the ruins of ancient cottages and stone buildings hidden away in the forest. These remnants of the past tell the story of Castlewellan's long history, and the guide will tell you anecdotes about the people who lived and worked on the estate.

Day 1 - Dublin
Meet at Dublin Airport in the Arrival hall. Look for PONANT sign. You will be greeted by our local representative off the flight selected by PONANT or any other flight (provided that you have previously communicated your flight schedule to your travel agent).
You will be transferred to your 4* hotel in the city centre.
Check-in at official hour.
Lunch and dinner are at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.

This evening you will depart your hotel and travel out of the bustling city to the calm of the suburbs where you will enjoy a traditional Irish meal along with an unmissable experience of Irish song, music and dance. You will want to stomp your feet along with the rhythm of the dancers and clap your hands to the beat of the music. The enchanting evening includes a delicious four-course dinner followed by an Irish coffee. Then, your other senses will be delighted by a compelling performance of live traditional music, song and Irish dancing. All too soon, you will reboard your motorcoach for return journey to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 - Dublin / Powerscourt Estate / Dublin

After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out of your room and once luggage has been loaded onto the bus you will depart your hotel for your tour to the “Garden of Ireland”, County Wicklow.
Leaving the city of Dublin you will be traveling into the green and uncrowded Wicklow Mountains with their rounded summits and lush valleys.
The 14,000 acre Powerscourt Estate is nestled in the Wicklow Hills. It is a blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statuary and ornamental lakes, together with secret hollows, rambling walks, walled gardens and over 200 variations of trees and shrubs. Open to the public for over 50 years, a major refurbishment was carried out in 1974, but tragically, a fire broke out in the early hours one night, leaving only the roofless shell of the main house. The walls of the main house dating back to the 16th century stood as a stark reminder of the fire until 1996 when the rebuilding process began and today this fine house now stands proudly against the backdrop of its exquisite gardens. Some free time is provided to explore one of the most beautiful gardens in Ireland - recently voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic.
You will have time here to explore these magnificent gardens, stop and enjoy some refreshments in the Terrace Café or spend time shopping in the iconic Avoca store located within the ground floor of the Powerscourt House. This shop is truly unique as it is incorporated across the ground floor rooms of the house and its magnificent setting lingers long after the visit.
After your visit here travel a short journey to the location of your lunch.
Following your lunch you will make the onward journey to your awaiting ship for embarkation.

Visit St David's, the smallest town in the UK, dominated by its large and beautiful cathedral. Drive through beautiful coastal countryside to St David's, where you will first enjoy a guided tour of the cathedral. It is famous for housing the relics of St David, the patron saint of Wales, and has long served as a place of pilgrimage. Architectural features include the nave's carved Welsh wooden ceiling, the stained glass rose window and the Treasury, which houses many sacred relics, some of which were unearthed in the tombs of the cathedral's first bishops. You will also visit the ruins of the bishop's palace, the medieval cathedral that would have rivalled today's cathedral in terms of glory.
Enjoy some free time to explore the town of St Davids before returning to the port.

Set off to discover Fishguard, with its rich heritage, marine landscapes and unexpected wildlife encounters.
Let the whispers of the past guide you into the pretty village of Fishguard, where the stars of the silver screen, adventurers from France and herring fishermen have all left their mark. This lively port still resonates with the echoes of a prosperous trade dating back to the 16th century. Under the reign of Elizabeth I, the generous waters provided endless shoals of herring. The inhabitants themselves, affectionately nicknamed “sgadan Abergwaun” – Fishguard herrings – were proud of this connection with the sea.
Discover history as it reveals itself in the sculptures hidden along the paths, silent witnesses of a bygone era. Walking along the port, your gaze will perhaps fall upon the furtive games of seals, the graceful leap of porpoises or the sparkle of a dolphin in the waves. Then, in the heart of the village, the Town Hall will welcome you so you can see the Last Invasion Tapestry, a masterpiece inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry. With finesse and details, it tells the story of the last invasion of mainland Britain.

Meet your local guide at your departure point. Robbie, a seasoned adventurer of the magnificent Mourne Mountains, loves nothing more than to give people an immersive experience that brings the landscape to life and highlights its inherent splendor.
On this trip, you will be transported back in time and learn how the mountains were originally formed and shaped to form the magnificent landscape you see today. You will delve into the legends of Slieve Lough Shannagh, the mystical fox lake, and discover the secrets of Butter Mountain and its surrounding peaks.
Although deeply immersed in history, the real gem of this day lies in its breathtaking viewpoint. Here, you will be greeted by a panoramic view that rivals any in Northern Ireland, showcasing the majestic Mourne Mountains as they gracefully descend to the sea.
You will pass through Mourne's most iconic structure, the Mourne Wall. This stunning structure spans 14 of Mourne's highest peaks, over a length of 22 miles. The granite of this dry-stone wall was hand-hewn from the mountain over 100 years ago. Here, you will hear stories about the wall's construction and the lives of the local men who worked on it.
- This tour covers a total of 4.5 km. Participants must be physically fit to take part in this tour. The walk is on uneven, uneven, sloping surfaces. There may be slippery stones when wet. There is a total elevation of 180m. We recommend wearing flat, non-slip shoes (preferably hiking boots) and warm, comfortable clothing. A waterproof jacket is recommended.

Castlewellan forest park by e-bike
This guided electric bike tour takes you through the enchanting landscapes of Castlewellan Forest Park, offering a mix of gentle rides, panoramic views and a touch of history. Nestled in the heart of County Down, the Castlewellan Estate is known for its lush forests, serene lakes and rich heritage. This eco-friendly electric bike experience allows everyone to enjoy the journey at a comfortable pace, with delicious bites to savor amidst the park's natural beauty.
The tour begins in Castlewellan's historic courtyard, where participants are greeted by a local guide. The stone walls of the courtyard and the imposing Castlewellan Castle loom large on the horizon, offering a glimpse into the rich history of the estate, which was home to the Annesley family in the 19th century. The first part of the tour takes you along a winding path through the world-famous Castlewellan arboretum. Home to one of Ireland's finest collections of rare and exotic trees, the arboretum is a hidden gem, with towering redwoods, elegant cedars and dazzling rhododendrons creating a lush canopy overhead. The guide will stop at key points and tell anecdotes about the estate's botanical wonders, including some trees planted over 150 years ago. Leaving the gardens behind, head for picturesque Castlewellan Lake. Cycle along the well-maintained path that runs alongside the lake, its serene waters glistening in the sunlight. Oak, beech and evergreen trees frame the path, while the Mourne Mountains provide a spectacular backdrop. There are stops along the way for picnics and tastings of local produce.
As you drive on, you will come across the ruins of ancient cottages and stone buildings hidden away in the forest. These remnants of the past tell the story of Castlewellan's long history, and the guide will tell you anecdotes about the people who lived and worked on the estate.
- This tour includes a 3-hour electric bike ride of around 15 km over uneven, relatively flat terrain. Participants must be able to ride a bike on this day. The order of visits may vary slightly according to weather conditions. Non-slip walking shoes are highly recommended. Waterproof and warm clothing essential. Helmets must be worn at all times. The guide/cyclist conducts the tour in English only.

After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local English-speaking representative.
Departing from the pier and enjoy a panoramic city tour.
Then visit Dublin Castle. The castle played an important role from the Middle Ages up until 1922 as it was the residence of representatives of the British monarchy. It has survived numerous rebellions during its history, such as the 1916 uprising, and is today the theatre of official ceremonies such as the investiture of the President of the Republic. It was here that the 1998 peace agreements with Northern Ireland were signed.
You will have lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, reach the fascinating EPIC Museum, where Irish heritage is celebrated. Located within the vaults of the elegantly restored CHQ building in the Dublin Docklands, EPIC is a thought-provoking experiential museum devoted to Irish history. The displays explore Ireland's influence on the arts, education, science, politics, and sports, and feature some of the country's most popular exports, such as Riverdance, Guinness, and the tradition of the Irish pub. This immersive experience tells some of the most remarkable tales of sacrifice, endurance and discovery the world has ever known, and brings to life the amazing stories of Irish emigration through the centuries.
You will then be transferred to the airport in time for check-in for the PONANT selected flight.
