Lucie Marsal is a French biological engineer and a sailor. Despite having no initial connection to the marine world, she forged her career at the crossroads of science and the ocean, organizing her first scientific expedition focused on microplastics in 2018. A self-guided trip with her sister in pursuit of the Northern Lights sparked an interest in the pristine polar landscapes, ultimately leading her to Greenland and Svalbard. This time, however, she will be sailing! And with a new role: that of first mate, team leader and head of the scientific and educational programs.
