Lucas Debargue’s incredible talent, artistic vision and creative freedom were revealed in his performances at the XV Tchaikovsky Competition (2015) where he received the Music Critics Association prize. Today Lucas Debargue is one of the most talented and versatile pianists of our time. His repertoire ranges from works by Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, Ravel and Fauré to Szymanowski, Medtner and Magin. His original and virtuoso interpretations are acclaimed by the public and international press.

He has performed in many of the most prestigious concert halls in the world such as Berlin and Paris Philharmonics, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, the Konzerthaus and Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and concert halls in Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul and New York’s Carnegie Hall, as well as at numerous famous festivals including La Roque d’Anthéron and Verbier. He is also a composer with already more than 20 works for solo piano and chamber music to his name.

An exclusive artist with Sony Classical, Debargue has released seven albums including a four-disc tribute to Scarlatti, highly praised by the New York Times. His latest recording, released in March 2024, contains the complete solo piano works by Fauré for which he received the Grand Prix at the annual Trophées de Radio Classique.
