Depart from the pier towards the Albufera National Park.
The Albufera (small sea) is a freshwater lagoon and estuary on the Gulf of Valencia coast. It is the main portion of the park, with a surface area of 21,120 hectares (52,200 acres). The natural biodiversity of the nature reserve allows a great variety of fauna and flora to thrive and be observed year-round. While once a saltwater lagoon, dilution due to irrigation and canals draining into the estuary, converted it to freshwater by the seventeenth century.
The park is bordered by a pine forest that extends down to the sea. This beautiful nature reserve, surrounded by rice fields is also home to Spain’s largest lake, a paradise for migratory birds and one of Europe’s most important sites for nesting birds. You will explore these marshes on a traditional boat belonging to local fishermen. At the end of the 45-minute ride, the boat will moor close to a typical restaurant, where you will enjoy a snack and refreshment.
Re board your coach and drive back to your ship.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 70
From the pier, you will be taken to the City of Arts & Sciences for a photo stop, 15 minutes by road. Floating on azure blue water, this futuristic space began to take shape in the 1990s. Surrounded by landscaped gardens and water, the cultural complex covers nearly two kilometres at the eastern end of the Turia Gardens, along what was once the bed of the river of the same name.
You continue your excursion into the very heart of Valencia to La Plaza de la Reina and the historic centre. Here you will visit the Cathedral built on the site of a Roman temple, which later became an Arab mosque. Its Gothic-style bell tower El Miguelete is one of Valencia's most emblematic monuments.
You then head for the UNESCO World Heritage site, La Lonja de la Seda (silk exchange). This fabulous building was originally used for trading in silk, hence the name, and houses treasures such as the Columnario (or Sala de Contratación), the central dungeon and the Consulado del Mar room.
You will then wander through the Mercado Central, a vast structure of iron, crystal and ceramic tiles built in 1928. A bustling market is crammed with stalls of glistening fish, and fruit and vegetables from the fertile “huerta” region.
From here you reach the Plaza Santa Catalina for a tasting of horchata, the popular local drink made from tiger nuts, before being at leisure to explore the streets of Valencia at your own pace.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 60
You will depart for a visit to the picture-postcard village of Valldemossa and its Carthusian Monastery. Valldemossa is one of the most beautiful and typical villages on the Island, nestled in a valley of the northern mountain range.
Enjoy all the beauty that Mallorca has to offer, with picturesque mountains and coastline your constant companion. You will drive along the rugged northern coast, seeing landscapes of pine forest and groves of almond and olive trees. A photo stop will be made at "Son Marroig", which offers beautiful views of Mallorca's northern coastline.
Visit the Carthusian Monastery, including the small neo-classical church which is known for its lovely frescoes painted by Goya's brother-in-law, intricately carver choir stall, and rich tapestries, as well as an 18th century pharmacy set up almost exactly as it would have been by the monks in 1723.
The Cartuja is known to have housed the famous musician and composer Frederic Chopin, as week as the writer George Sand, in winter of 1838, where they added their own touches to the romanticism of Majorcan history (on Sundays, only exterior visits will be allowed).
Before returning to the ship, enjoy some free time in the beautiful village of Valldemossa to browse the souvenir shops.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 70
A short drive from the pier, you will find the Fundació Miró Mallorca, a museum dedicated to the work of Joan Miró. In 1981, two years before the artist's death, he and his wife, Pilar, established the foundation to showcase Miró's work and to promote contemporary art in general. It is their gift to the city that served as their home after Miró's self-imposed exile from the mainland of Franco's Spain. The museum includes a main building that houses thousands of the artist's works, a library, a sculpture garden and Miró's studio, in accordance with his wish that everything be left "as it is the moment I disappear." Your visit will allow you to view works spanning the entire length of Miró's career, from 1908 to 1983.
After visiting the foundation, embark on a panoramic tour of the city of Palma, stopping briefly at the 14th-century Bellver Castle, which has towered over the city for more than 700 years, serving various roles as a royal residence, a Mint, and a prison. It is the only circular castle in Spain complete with round towers. It was built in the 14th century for King Jaume II of Mallorca.
Continue the panoramic tour with a stop at the Cathedral for a picture and an opportunity to learn a bit of Majorcan history. La Seu, a 14th century gothic cathedral, stands in the heart of the city of Palma as the most emblematic building in Mallorca's capital. Continue your walking tour in the heart of the old town and immerse yourself in the city's beautiful atmosphere!
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to the ship.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 70
From the pier, board your coach for the 50-minute drive to the old capital of the island, Ciutadella. Founded by the Cartheginians, Ciutadella remained the capital of Menorca until 1772, and it remains the ecclesiastical capital to this day. Ciutadella has a rather grand air with many elegant historical buildings, churches and large squares. The old town is packed with impressive architecture, including a gothic cathedral and several palaces belonging to the noble families, some of which are open to the public.
Upon your arrival, you will be given a guided tour of the historic centre of town before enjoying some free time to wander the streets.
From here, you will head back towards Mahon and, en route, enjoy a photo stop at the beautiful Cala Galdana beach resort, set in a horseshoe-shaped bay surrounded by pine clad cliffs. The drive will take you to the east and the small village of Mercadal in the centre of the island.
You will finally discover the magnificent Fornells Bay. The 45-minute drive back to the port of Mahon will take you through fertile farm land and the market garden area, which is on reclaimed land at the innermost part of the harbour.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 50
From the pier, embark your coach for the 20-minute drive to the prehistoric settlement of Torralba d’en Salord.
This site dates back to the Talaiotic Period, between 1 000 BC and Roman times. The Taula and its enclosures were used for worship and are the most spectacular remains of the island. Excavations and restoration started in 1973 and is a continuing work for the Balearic Islands Foundation, in conjunction with the University of Madrid. The Taula - which means table - was built from two large slabs of rock, one vertical and the other horizontal, magnificently fashioned to form a “T” shape. The enclosures are horseshoe shaped with side columns.
After your guided visit of the megalithic village, you will return to Mahon, where you will start your guided walking tour.
You will start at the main square and walk downhill back to the harbour, through the city centre. The walk through this attractive town will give you a glimpse of the different periods of the islands’ turbulent history, and of the many architectural styles reflecting the frequent changes of rule. The centre offers an interesting mix of narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses, wide open squares and grand historical buildings.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 50
From the pier, board your wheel train and drive up to the oldest part of Bonifacio. En-route, you will see the Bosco quarter with the St. Francis convent and the cemetery dedicated to the mariners with mausoleums displaying a jumble of architectural styles. On a clear day you might also enjoy a panoramic view on Corsica's closest neighbour: the Italian island of Sardinia. Then pass the church St Dominique, a rare example of Corsican gothic architecture, built in 1270, most probably by the Templars. Following the orientation by mini-tram, continue your visit of Bonifacio on foot through tiny, narrow streets bordered with high houses. Pass the church of St. Marie Majeure, with its mixture of Romanesque and Baroque styles dated from 14th century. The excursion will take you through the heart of the historical part of town to the Two Emperors street where Napoleon Bonaparte and Charles V spent a few days, the Place d'Armes, the Jardin des Vestiges and then to the old market where there is a viewpoint over the 230 ft. cliffs on top of which Bonifacio has been built! Before heading back to the port, you will enjoy a tasty moment in a unique place called "La Galerie des Ducs" with a fantastic view on the cliffs of Bonifacio. Local cold cuts and cheese paired with a glass of wine will allow you to get a taste of what Corsica has to offer. Either you will return to the ship with your guide or either you will continue to explore the town on your own.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 80
From the pier, board your local boat for a cruise along the coast of Bonifacio to enjoy a panoramic view of the citadel and upper town. The buildings atop the sheer limestone cliffs look as though they are about to topple into the sea.
You will start your exploration with the marine caves which are home to numerous birds including falcons, puffins and swifts. Exiting the harbour via the inlet, you will discover the ramparts which encircle the old city.
After passing the limestone cliffs, you will reach the Sdragonatu marine cave (dragon’s cave). Its roof is pierced by a fissure in the shape of a map of Corsica.
Then, continue to the Lavezzi Islands, a marine wildlife and plants sanctuary which make up one of Corsica’s two marine reserves. These uninhabited barren islands of granite rock lie seven miles south-east of Bonifacio, seemingly adrift on a turquoise-emerald sea, whose colour varies with the sky.
The Lavezzi islands was declared a nature reserve in 1982. As from 2023, a specific protection plan have been deployed by the Corsican authorites in order to protect this fragile ecosystem. Ponant's commitment to preserve and protect natural sites is fully in line with this measure and we therefore propose an outdoor discovery of these islands, without any landing. Your guide is specially trained to share with you all the specificites of this rock formations and will give you numerous explanations to enable you to understand all the preservation issues.
On the way back, you will pass Cavallo Island and Pointe de Sperone, before cruising along the calanques and cliffs to the Bonifacio marina.

Finally, you will walk back to your ship.

Board your off-road vehicle and start your exploration of Corsica and especially the mountainous part of the Agriates desert. This picturesque experience will allow you to discover in a unique way the beauty of natural sites and the charm Corsica.
After receiving your safety instructions, leave the dock to begin your adventure. In the middle of the 20th century, the Agriates were a prosper agriculture region. Contrary to what one might think, the desert of Agriates fed the north of Corsica for centuries, with cultivations taking advantage of its 32 springs and 27 hidden fountains. The term “desert” can therefore be explained, not by its aridity, but by the exodus that followed the World War I. Many young Corsicans lost their lives during the war, leaving the land orphaned. During your scenic journey, you will discover the beauty of the landscapes from several beautiful points of view. Following the bumpy tracks of the desert, reach a superb panorama of the peaks of Patrimonio and the two seas, hugging the northern part of Corsica.
Then, stop in a winery located in Poggio-d'Oletta in Corsica, the Clos Clementi. These twelve hectares of vines, forming a single plot, are classified in AOC Patrimonio. Planted with «usu anticu» according to the orientation of the sun and the wind, these noble grape varieties of the appellation feed on a soil with predominantly clay-limestone and enjoy an exceptional microclimate. Enjoy a tasting in this family estate and learn more about the know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation since 1936.
Continue your scenic drive before joining a charming beach of the Agriates for a relaxing 30-minute moment.
Finally, re-board your off-road vehicle and rejoin the pier.
Gesamtpreis inkl. Steuern- und Gebühren : € 170
Taking its name from the thick mist which sweeps over the region, the Nebbio has for centuries been one of the most fertile parts of the island. Formerly called “Conca d’oro” (golden shell) by Pascal Paoli, it is now reputed for its very nice wines.
Along the drive, you will admire panoramic views, the St Florent’s gulf and the Patrimonio’s vineyards on one side, and the Tyrrhenian Sea and Biguglia’s pond on the other side. You will pass along the Biguglia’s pond, the San Stefano pass, through Oletta and its multicoloured houses.
Bastia is considered as the main town of northern Corsica but also the biggest commercial port of the island. When the Genoese occupied Corsica, Bastia was their capital because of its wealth. Indeed, the island had immense and impressive plantations of vines, olives and chestnut trees.
Start your exploration of the city with your guide. First, discover the square St Nicolas, the meeting point of all the population. Then, enjoy a nice guided stroll around Terra Vecchia, the old quarter of the city, to the St Jean Baptiste Church, famous for its twin campaniles. While walking, you will pass by some Bastia’s charming views: little chapels, baroque style orotarios like the Oratoire St Roch and even get a glimpse of the flamboyant Oratoire de l’Immaculée Conception, famous for its colourful interior.
Your tour takes you through the Terra Nova, which includes the citadel, with the Place du Donjon, and the impressive 14th century Palais des Gouverneurs.
Then, re-board your coach and enjoy the panoramic drive to Patrimonio. In 1968, Patrimonio was established as the first Corsican wine with a controlled designation of origin (AOC). Today, Corsica has nine different AOC microregions, even if the entire Corsica represents the Vin de Corse AOC. Upon arrival, you will discover a family winery. The owner or one of his employees will welcome you to the cellars and present you his production. A wine tasting will complete this visit.
