In your hand luggage, remember to bring any medicines that you need, and possibly a small spare bag of toiletries (in case of delay in the delivery of your baggage by the airline). Remember to always have your travel documents with you in case you need them: hotel vouchers, cruise vouchers, return flight tickets... Never leave them in your hold luggage.

Begleitung der Tauchgänge
Ihre Tauchgänge werden von unseren PONANT Tauchguides begleitet. Diese werden sich um Ihre Sicherheit und einen reibungslosen Ablauf kümmern. An einigen Tauchplätzen, wie in Naturschutzgebieten oder wenn die örtlichen Vorschriften dies vorschreiben, wird zusätzlich ein lokaler Führer das Tauchen begleiten.
Erforderliches Tauchlevel während dieser Kreuzfahrt
Das erforderliche Niveau für Gäste, die während dieser Kreuzfahrt tauchen möchten, ist PADI Open Water Diver, CMAS 1 Stern oder ein gleichwertiges Zertifikat. Die Zertifizierung, das Tauchlogbuch und ein aktuelles ärztliches Attest (weniger als 12 Monate alt) müssen zu Beginn der Kreuzfahrt den PONANT Tauchguides vorgelegt werden.
Ablauf der Tauchgänge (zertifizierte Taucher)
Der Tauchguide behält sich das Recht vor, die Fähigkeit der Taucher auf maximale Sicherheit zu überprüfen. Da wir an abgelegenen Orten tauchen, werden die Tauchgänge ohne Dekompressionsstopp durchgeführt. Ein Sicherheitsstopp von 3 Minuten bei 5 Metern ist obligatorisch. Die Tiefe, die erreicht werden kann, hängt von der Zertifizierung der Taucher ab:
Ablauf der Schnuppertauchgänge (Tauchanfänger)
Vor dem ersten Tauchgang zeigt Ihnen der Tauchguide die Ausrüstung und erklärt, wie unter Wasser mit Handzeichen kommuniziert wird und wie das Atmen durch einen Atemregler funktioniert. Sobald Sie im Wasser sind und mit der entsprechenden Ausrüstung ausgestattet sind, lernen Sie, wie Sie einige Minuten lang durch Ihren Atemregler an der Oberfläche atmen. Wenn der Tauchguide das Gefühlt hat, dass Sie bereit sind, taucht er mit Ihnen etwa 20 Minuten lang bis zu einer Tiefe von maximal 6 Metern.
Dauer der Tauchgänge
Die Tauchgänge dauern 2 bis 3 Stunden, einschließlich der Fahrt zum Tauchplatz und des Tauchens. Diese Dauer kann je nach Standort, Taucherniveau, Wetterbedingungen und Teilnehmerzahl variieren. Für erfahrene Taucher variiert die Tauchdauer je nach Ort, Erfahrung und Verbrauch des Tauchers zwischen 35 und 60 Minuten.
Bereitgestellte Ausrüstung
Tauchermaske und Schnorchel: Aufgrund von Covid-19 und der damit einhergehenden aktuellen Gesundheitssituation empfehlen wir Ihnen aus hygienischen Gründen, eine eigene Tauchermaske und Schnorchel mit an Bord zu bringen. In Ausnahmefällen können diese gemäß den Hygienebedingungen* ausgeliehen werden.
Gäste können an Tauchaktivitäten teilnehmen, sofern bestimmte Bedingungen eingehalten werden, die im Einklang mit den am Tag des Tauchgangs geltenden gesundheitlichen, wissenschaftlichen und medizinischen Maßnahmen festgelegt wurden.

Fauna and flora of the Caribbean Sea
The fauna of the Caribbean Sea is very varied. During the different dives, divers can observe various species of benthic fauna such as French angel fish, queen angel fish, spotted drums, puffer fish, parrots fish, and pelagic fauna such as spotted eagle ray, barracudas, horse eyes jackfish, as well as fixed wildlife such as gorgonians and barrel sponges.

Colón ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Panamas und liegt am Eingang des Panamakanals auf der Karibikseite. Heute ist die Stadt ein bedeutender Handelshafen, die Schaffung der Freihandelszone im Jahr 1953 hat erheblich zu ihrem Aufschwung beigetragen. Die Stadt hat sich starke religiöse und kulturelle Traditionen aus ihrer Kolonialvergangenheit bewahrt, zum Beispiel die Verehrung des schwarzen Christus und eine tief verwurzelte afro-karibische Kultur. Bei den Congo-Zeremonien wird die Geschichte der spanischen Herrschaft über die schwarzen Sklaven mit Folkloretänzen und Musik nachgespielt.

Das an der Westküste von Martinique gelegene Fort-de-France begeistert durch seine grandiose Bucht, die zu den schönsten der Welt gehört. Am Eingang des Hafens wacht das Fort Saint-Louis auf einem schmalen Streifen Land über die Hauptstadt von Martinique. Von dort oben eröffnet sich Ihnen eine einzigartige Aussicht. Die Kathedrale Saint-Louis oder die Schœlcher-Bibliothek zeugen von einer jahrhundertealten Geschichte, die eng mit der Insel verknüpft ist. Sie können auf dem immer sehr farbenfrohen Großen Markt frische Kokosnuss kosten. Der Garten von Balata oder der Park Aimé Césaire ihrerseits, sind sehr angenehme grüne Oasen mitten im Herzen der Stadt.
After a short zodiac ride, you will join your guide and immerse yourself into the rich history of the town of Portobelo, once known as the paradise for pirates.
Portobelo Bay was discovered by Christopher Columbus during his fourth voyage on November 2nd, 1502. Seduced by the beauty and tranquillity of the place, he named it the "beautiful port" (Portobelo).
Your guide will take you around the main highlights of the area, Fort San Geronimo, Fort San Felipe, Customs House, a colonial structure built in 1630, and the Black Christ Church.
After these visits, you will discover the local artcrafts visiting the Congo House Gallery & Workshop, a venue for community artisans to produce and sell their work, featuring local painting, sculptures, furniture, photographs and other Portobelo handicrafts.
Finally, you will return to your ship.

The Panama Canal Expansion has been the largest project undertaken on this waterway since its original construction.
From the pier, you will board your coach for a 1-hour 1/2 drive to the Agua Clara Locks.
The expansion created a new lane of ship traffic along the Canal, with the construction of a new set of locks doubling the waterway’s capacity. Today, you will visit the New Locks of the Panama Canal, which will have a direct impact on the economies of scale associated with international maritime trade. The Observation Center is a park-style concept based on open platforms and roofed terraces, built over an area of 10 acres. During your visit, you may see new neo-Panamax vessels crossing. Look out across majestic Gatún Lake, where ships continue their transit through the waterway.
After visiting the locks you will enjoy a drive through the new “Atlantic Bridge”, the longest in the country, also holds the world record as the longest four-lane concrete cable-stayed with the span-space between the central columns : 530 meters.
After passing the bridge you will enjoy a short photo stop at the Gatun Dam, a crucial element of the Panama Canal, generating the electricity needed to operate the locks and other equipment in the canal.
To complete your comprehensive tour of Colon and the Locks a final stop will take place at “Parque del Cristo”.

From the pier, board your coach and drive to San Felipe fortress for a photo opportunity. The fortress is one of the colony’s architectural military gems and it’s the largest Spanish fort in mainland South America. This fortress defended the city from several attacks, including its largest battle against British Admiral Vernon in 1741.
Then, you will take a tour of the Naval Museum, where you will learn about Colombia's Naval History and attend a show about Colombian folklore. The museum has permanent exhibitions relating to the Military Naval History of Cartagena de Indias, Universal Navigation, the Colombian Navy up through current times, as well as an exhibition about Colonial and early Republican periods.
A stop will be made at the beautiful Saint Peter Claver Church and Cloister, built in homage to the protector of slaves (outside visit).
Continue to the Old City and stroll down its colonial streets, adorned by balconies overflowing with flowers. See San Pedro and Bolivar square, the main square of the city. Admire the Cathedral and the original headquarters of the colonial Spanish government. Keep a watch out for the statue of Simón Bolivar as well as the Inquisition Palace, and all the history that accompanies it.
Then, you will visit the Inquisition Palace an eighteenth-century palace that was the seat of the Holy Office of the Inquisition in Cartagena. It has been described as "one of the finer buildings" in Cartagena and cited as one of Cartagena's "best examples of late colonial, civil architecture".
Enjoy some leisure time to explore the historical centre, after enjoying a real Colombian coffee.
Finally, reboard your coach and return to the ship.

Rosario Islands have been designated as a Natural National Park to protect one of the most important coral reefs of the Colombian Caribbean coast. The park covers an area of 1,200 square kilometres (460 sq mi) of protected waters. The archipelago of Rosario Islands is located 38 km (24 mi) south of Cartagena and is composed of 27 small coral islands. Three of them are State property while the others are privately owned.
From the pier, you will meet your guide and walk to your speedboat, a 10-minute walk. Once embarking, you will start your scenic sail from Cartagena to the Rosario Islands, 1-hour sail including photo stops.

From the pier, you will board a coach and start your exploration of Santa Marta.
Santa Marta, Colombia’s oldest city, is situated on the Caribbean coast and boasts a fine natural harbour, beaches and a unique view. That is only part of the reasons the Spaniards chose this as their first settlement.
Your first stop will be at the Gold Museum located on the Second floor of the Bank of the Republic. You will discover the museum’s pre-Colombian artefacts exhibit and a small, yet priceless, collection of Tairona gold and pottery pieces.
Next, you will visit the Cathedral, the first church in the city. The Church of Santa Ana was built in 1529. After being elevated to the rank of Cathedral, the church was considered as “built with the barrel boards carried by the river when it swelled”.
Your last visit will be San Pedro de Alejandrino Villa, dating to the 17th century. This country estate was offered in 1830 by Don Joaquin Mier y Benitez to Simon Bolivar as a refuge for his last days. The Colombian Government later declared the house as a national monument. Nowadays, the interior of the villa has been restored and the extensive gardens have been returned to their former glory.
Before reaching your ship, you will enjoy a display of Colombia’s culture during a folklore show with traditional songs and dances and a soft drink.

From the pier, you will board your coach for an 1 ½-hour drive to the Tayronaka ruins.
This tour will allow you to discover the ancient ruins and culture of one of Colombia’s 70 indigenous tribes, all of which were thought to have descended from pre-Hispanic civilizations.
You will pass into the foothills of Sierra Nevada – the highest mountain range in the world. Look out the window and you will spot the lush jungle of the Tayrona National Park, and tiny villages where locals make a living selling fresh fruit to passing travellers.
Once, you will swap the road for a jungle trail, walking through the vegetation to reach the Tayronaka Ruins, the remains of an indigenous settlement built between 800 and 1600 AD. Close by are the tribal lands of the Kogi people, said to be direct descendants of the Tayrona tribe. You will enjoy a walking tour of the settlement’s ruins and an introduction to the culture of the Kogi, followed by some free time.
After your encounter, you will enjoy a typical lunch accompanied by “agua panela con limon” (sugar cane juice with lemon).

Upon your arrival, you will start your ecological hiking tour to the waterfall descending from the Sierra Nevada. The eternally white capped Sierra Nevada is the tallest mountain bordering the sea in the world. The natural waterfall forms a series of natural pools housing a variety of fish.
After a 30-minute hike, you will enjoy free time to explore, relax or swim in the crystalline waters.
Then, you will return to your coach via a 30-minute hike through the vegetation and fruit plants, such as cacao and plantain.

Board your vehicle and leave the dock with your guide, for an approximately 50-minute drive to the west of the island for your first stop, Shete Boka National Park.
Shete Boka is just one of the island's national parks. Here, you will see how the wild sea meets the coast in spectacular fashion. Waves explode over wild rock formations and the power of the sea and unpredictable waves will leave you breathless.
Then, it's back to your vehicle for your second stop: Hofi Mango, one of Curaçao's most diverse nature reserves and one of the island's best-kept secrets. Many people have driven past it many times, but few know its true beauty. After passing through the rainforest-like garden, you will make your way to the Stairway to Heaven, from where you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the island.

Discover Willemstad's Dutch architecture, pastel-coloured buildings and ornate facades on a guided walking tour of this historic town.
You will meet your guide on the quay and walk to the centre of town, where you will visit the Kura Hulanda Museum. This anthropological museum exposes the transatlantic slave trade and features an impressive collection of traditional African and Afro-Caribbean artefacts. Centuries ago, the Caribbean region was famous for its flourishing indigo production. The high quality of the blue pigment produced on these islands was unsurpassed anywhere in the world and it was exported worldwide.
You will meet your guide on the quay and board your vehicle for a 45-minute panoramic drive to Landhuis San Nicolas. The discovery of three species of the indigo family at the San Nicolas plantation led to the rebirth of indigo production on the grounds of this historic estate.
Step back in time as you enter the premises of this 17th-century planter's home. Salt and indigo were once the mainstays of the region's economy, and you can still see vestiges of this period today.
The indigo workshop begins with a tour of the farm and a brief history of Curaçao's lost "blue gold". You will then, learn how to extract the pigment from the plant and use it to transform natural, undyed fabric into vibrant blue.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can climb Saint-Vincent's highest peak, La Soufrière (1178m). La Soufrière occupies almost a third of the northern tip of the island, overlooking the fishing and farming villages of Richmond to the northwest and Owia, home of the Caribbean Indians, to the northeast.
You will meet your guide on the pier, board your bus and enjoy an informative 1.5-hour ride from the pier. This ride takes you through the famous Rabacca Dry River, from where you can see the Pitons of Saint Lucia on a clear day.
The climb begins at the end of the road at Bamboo Range (365 meters above sea level). You will climb the trail for around 5 km, passing through rainforest, bamboo, lush trees and all the epiphytes that grow around the trees. After a 90-minute climb, you will be rewarded with a magnificent panorama and the feeling of being on top of the world.

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing beverage and taken on a short walk, learning a little about the history of the family and how they got started. Interact with a few family members and learn about their involvement in the development of the aquaponics farm, which was established in 2010. It features a 32,000-gallon vertical system, a green house, and an 80,000-gallon rainwater harvesting tank, 8Kw of solar renewable energy system to power the farm, a compost pit and a medicinal and herb garden.

From the pier, board your motorboat and start your scenic journey around the isles of les Saintes. The archipelago of les Saintes consists of nine islands spread between Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas main islands.
Head first to the Marigot bay, a place in Terre-de-Haut Island well-known by local fishermen, before going around to reach îlet à Cabrit and other islets.
Sailing along the southern coast of Terre-de-Haut Island, you will then reach the small uninhabited island of Grand Ilet, a paradise for tortoises and seabirds. Following a stop at La Coche, continue to Terre-de-Bas where you can see an old pottery workshop, as well as turtles and pelicans who settled there.
Back to Terre-de-Haut, you will then sail to the Pain de Sucre (Sugar loaf), a geological formation caused by an ancient basalt flow. There, enjoy some free time for bathing, snorkelling and having a refreshment, before sailing back to the pier and your ship.

After a short walk, you will board a mini-bus and drive to the Vauban-style Fort Napoléon which overlooks ‘La Baie des Saintes’. It was built in the mid-1800's as a tribute to Napoleon III on the site of the original Fort Louis, destroyed by the English in 1809.
From here, you can either go on the guided tour or explore the fort on your own. You will then stroll down to a shipyard in Marigot Bay to see how they build traditional boats, before heading for the centre of Bourg.

From the ship, you will board the zodiacs and enjoy a short ride to the pontoon of the hotel Bois Joli, located in Cointe cove.
You will be welcomed by Suzanne, a Spanish woman, living here for 20 years and married to a Guadeloupean. She will be sharing with you her love for the island and its traditions and local treats.
First, you will have a brief introduction about the history of Les Saintes archipelago and then you will follow Suzanne along a short but rocky walking path to the Pain de Sucre viewpoint. Here, you will be able to enjoy the third most beautiful bay of the world and take panoramic pictures. A little further, you will discover a small chapel.
Back from this stunning viewpoint, you will start your gastronomic journey. Suzanne will serves you some French cuisine classics such as foie gras, duck breast but with a local touch and local products. The use of tropical fruits and spices will give the Caribbean twist to this gourmet experience. You will also enjoy local drinks such as homemade lemonade and old rums. On this hike, you will discover the dry vegetation characteristic of the north of the island, as well as magnificent views over the archipelago.
Your guide will take you from the pier to the boat house. You will walk along the road around the village towards the bay of Marigot to reach the start of the hiking trail.
You will start the climb by following the Conservatoire du Littoral trail to get your first view of Marigot. You will discover the flora typical of the island's arid zones, made up of candle cactus, aloe vera, tufts of mal-tête grass, frangipani and red gum trees. This magnificent walk offers superb views, including a privileged vantage point over Terre de Haut. As you continue your ascent, you will once again enjoy panoramic views of Terre de Bas, the Sugar Loaf and, opposite, Fort Napoléon.
You will then switch to the Marie-Galante side to reach the summit of Morne Morel, 136m above sea level. Known locally as Battery Caroline, this was a strategic position where, until the 19th century, soldiers could easily spot the enemy fleet. From the old fortifications, you will catch a glimpse of La Dominique.
You will then start the descent, which can be a little technical on the stony path, but will take you down to the Bay of Pompierre, with its superb beach lined with coconut palms. Your guide will be sure to tell you all about the different species that make up the fauna, as well as the cursed fig tree.
Finally, you will return by road to the village and your ship.

Tourment d'amour is a traditional cake from Les Saintes. Visitors arriving by boat are usually greeted by vendors selling these cakes filled with coconut, pineapple or guava jam.
From the quay, you will cross the village of Terre de Haut, accompanied by your guide. You will pass through the central square, with the main ferry dock. This charming little town stretches along the water's edge, overlooking the magnificent bay. En route, you will see the church, which was built in the 19th century and has been listed on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. Continue on to Place de la Mairie, or Place Fleurie, with its elegant, colourful town hall and monument to sailors lost at sea.
Then, continue along the seafront to your workshop for the day. Be sure to take in the local architecture and the views across the bay.
At your workshop, you will be greeted by your host, who will give you all the information you need about tourment d'amour: its history, how it's made, and why it's so particular to the island. It's said that it takes a lot of love to make this cake. In fact, it was made by Saint women to comfort their sailor husbands on their return from sea, after a hard day's work. They represented their love and gratitude.
You will enjoy a demonstration of how to make this little cake, and of course, you will be invited to join in and help with the various stages of production.
Traditionally made with coconut, tourment is also available in other local flavours: pineapple, guava and banana.
Finally, you will leave with your own little bag of tourment, made before your very eyes. You will head back towards the quay, passing through the village and stopping to admire the bay, visit the church, or enjoy the ambiance of Terre de Haut before returning to the ship.

Day 2 – Panama City
After breakfast, You will depart for a visit of Panama City’s famous landmarks. You will be taken first to Miraflores locks, the so-called “Eighth Wonder of the world”. Panama Canal is one of the most celebrated human achievements on the planet. Upon arrival at Miraflores Visitors Centre, you will visit the exhibition halls and learn about the Panama Canal’s history, its impact on international trade, how it works, its close relationship with nature and the Canal Expansion. From one of Miraflores observation terraces, you will be able to watch the lock gates open and close as vessels begin or end their transit, and you may observe transiting vessels from a distance of only a few meters while you learn about the various operations of the Panama Canal (cannot be guaranteed depending on Panama Canal timetable).

It was established around 1673 by French colonialists, the Catholic Church and other settlers. This is where much of the impressive colonial and Baroque architecture remains today. The modern, cosmopolitan areas of Panama City add a third layer to this historically rich city. Casco Antiguo has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997.
You will continue with the visit of the Mola Museum that opened in 2019. It was created to give relevance to the ancient culture of the Guna people represented in the mola. The mola is an indigenous textile art sewn into panels with complex designs, beautiful colours and multiple layers using a reverse appliqué technique that identifies the Guna community in Panama, you will enjoy beautiful display of many pieces at this small one floor quaint museum.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, take part to a private Mola workshop with a Guna woman and artisan who through her art safeguards the traditions of her people and pays tribute to their culture, inspired mainly by the biodiversity of Panama. The workshop will last more than 2 hours, starting with the history and meaning of the Molas in Panama, and continuing with the project that consist in the creation of a handkerchief.

Day 3 – Panama City
After breakfast, you will depart by coach for Gamboa (approximately a 1 h drive).
You will be taken a boat trip through the Panama Canal waterways to visit the islands that once upon time were mountains and were created when the area was flooded to form the Gatun Lake. You will also visit the sloth sanctuary, orquiderarium, butterfly house, fresh water aquarium and snake house.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will visit the Old Panama Ruins, first European city built in the Pacific coast of the Americas.
Return to the hotel, rest of the day and dinner at leisure.
Day 4 – Panama City - Colon
Start your last day at the Biomuseo, also called the Gehry’s Museum in honour of its world-renowned architect Frank Gehry. The building is designed to recall the creation of the isthmus of Panama which linked two continents and changed the planet’s biodiversity forever. The event that would change natural history for both continents occurred around three million years ago. Species from both continents mingled as northern animals went south and southern animals went north. The Biomuseo’s 4,000 square metres describe the country’s rich biodiversity.
You will proceed to the restaurant for lunch.
Continue with the Agua Clara Locks is the largest project at the Canal since its original construction that created a new lane of traffic along the Canal through the construction of a new set of locks, doubling the waterway’s capacity, be a witness of this major undertaking by visiting the New Observation Centre of the Canal Expansion.
The new Observation Centre of the Canal Expansion, located in Colon Panama, is a park style concept based on open platforms and roofed terraces, built in an area of four hectares, 400 visitors, simultaneously, will be able to enjoy in this new centre, the construction of the new locks of the Panama Canal in the Atlantic, at the same time, from its privileged location, visitors see the majestic Gatun Lake, where ships continue their transit through the waterway.
You will then be transfered to the port of Colón to embark aboard your ship.

After a short zodiac ride, you will join your guide and immerse yourself into the rich history of the town of Portobelo, once known as the paradise for pirates.
Portobelo Bay was discovered by Christopher Columbus during his fourth voyage on November 2nd, 1502. Seduced by the beauty and tranquillity of the place, he named it the "beautiful port" (Portobelo).
Your guide will take you around the main highlights of the area, Fort San Geronimo, Fort San Felipe, Customs House, a colonial structure built in 1630, and the Black Christ Church.
After these visits, you will discover the local artcrafts visiting the Congo House Gallery & Workshop, a venue for community artisans to produce and sell their work, featuring local painting, sculptures, furniture, photographs and other Portobelo handicrafts.
Finally, you will return to your ship.

The Panama Canal Expansion has been the largest project undertaken on this waterway since its original construction.
From the pier, you will board your coach for a 1-hour 1/2 drive to the Agua Clara Locks.
The expansion created a new lane of ship traffic along the Canal, with the construction of a new set of locks doubling the waterway’s capacity. Today, you will visit the New Locks of the Panama Canal, which will have a direct impact on the economies of scale associated with international maritime trade. The Observation Center is a park-style concept based on open platforms and roofed terraces, built over an area of 10 acres. During your visit, you may see new neo-Panamax vessels crossing. Look out across majestic Gatún Lake, where ships continue their transit through the waterway.
After visiting the locks you will enjoy a drive through the new “Atlantic Bridge”, the longest in the country, also holds the world record as the longest four-lane concrete cable-stayed with the span-space between the central columns : 530 meters.
After passing the bridge you will enjoy a short photo stop at the Gatun Dam, a crucial element of the Panama Canal, generating the electricity needed to operate the locks and other equipment in the canal.
To complete your comprehensive tour of Colon and the Locks a final stop will take place at “Parque del Cristo”.

From the pier, board your coach and drive to San Felipe fortress for a photo opportunity. The fortress is one of the colony’s architectural military gems and it’s the largest Spanish fort in mainland South America. This fortress defended the city from several attacks, including its largest battle against British Admiral Vernon in 1741.
Then, you will take a tour of the Naval Museum, where you will learn about Colombia's Naval History and attend a show about Colombian folklore. The museum has permanent exhibitions relating to the Military Naval History of Cartagena de Indias, Universal Navigation, the Colombian Navy up through current times, as well as an exhibition about Colonial and early Republican periods.
A stop will be made at the beautiful Saint Peter Claver Church and Cloister, built in homage to the protector of slaves (outside visit).
Continue to the Old City and stroll down its colonial streets, adorned by balconies overflowing with flowers. See San Pedro and Bolivar square, the main square of the city. Admire the Cathedral and the original headquarters of the colonial Spanish government. Keep a watch out for the statue of Simón Bolivar as well as the Inquisition Palace, and all the history that accompanies it.
Then, you will visit the Inquisition Palace an eighteenth-century palace that was the seat of the Holy Office of the Inquisition in Cartagena. It has been described as "one of the finer buildings" in Cartagena and cited as one of Cartagena's "best examples of late colonial, civil architecture".
Enjoy some leisure time to explore the historical centre, after enjoying a real Colombian coffee.
Finally, reboard your coach and return to the ship.

Rosario Islands have been designated as a Natural National Park to protect one of the most important coral reefs of the Colombian Caribbean coast. The park covers an area of 1,200 square kilometres (460 sq mi) of protected waters. The archipelago of Rosario Islands is located 38 km (24 mi) south of Cartagena and is composed of 27 small coral islands. Three of them are State property while the others are privately owned.
From the pier, you will meet your guide and walk to your speedboat, a 10-minute walk. Once embarking, you will start your scenic sail from Cartagena to the Rosario Islands, 1-hour sail including photo stops.
At your arrival at the hotel, you will have a welcome drink before enjoying free time to relax you on the beach and discover on your own this wonderful nature park.
Then, you will have a traditional Colombian lunch before boarding your speedboat and return to your ship, a one-hour sail.

From the pier, you will board your coach for a 45-minute drive to La Cueva del Manglar, where your canoe tour will begin.
During your 1-hour trip on a traditional canoe, you can enjoy a protected eco-system that’s teeming with birdlife. Your guide will provide you with a safety briefing before leaving you with local fishermen, who will show you the Mangrove. As you glide through the swampy waters, keep an eye out in the sky and you may be able to see kingfishers, white herons and pelicans.

From the pier, you will board a coach and start your exploration of Santa Marta.
Santa Marta, Colombia’s oldest city, is situated on the Caribbean coast and boasts a fine natural harbour, beaches and a unique view. That is only part of the reasons the Spaniards chose this as their first settlement.
Your first stop will be at the Gold Museum located on the Second floor of the Bank of the Republic. You will discover the museum’s pre-Colombian artefacts exhibit and a small, yet priceless, collection of Tairona gold and pottery pieces.
Next, you will visit the Cathedral, the first church in the city. The Church of Santa Ana was built in 1529. After being elevated to the rank of Cathedral, the church was considered as “built with the barrel boards carried by the river when it swelled”.
Your last visit will be San Pedro de Alejandrino Villa, dating to the 17th century. This country estate was offered in 1830 by Don Joaquin Mier y Benitez to Simon Bolivar as a refuge for his last days. The Colombian Government later declared the house as a national monument. Nowadays, the interior of the villa has been restored and the extensive gardens have been returned to their former glory.
Before reaching your ship, you will enjoy a display of Colombia’s culture during a folklore show with traditional songs and dances and a soft drink.

From the pier, you will board your coach for an 1 ½-hour drive to the Tayronaka ruins.
This tour will allow you to discover the ancient ruins and culture of one of Colombia’s 70 indigenous tribes, all of which were thought to have descended from pre-Hispanic civilizations.
You will pass into the foothills of Sierra Nevada – the highest mountain range in the world. Look out the window and you will spot the lush jungle of the Tayrona National Park, and tiny villages where locals make a living selling fresh fruit to passing travellers.
Once, you will swap the road for a jungle trail, walking through the vegetation to reach the Tayronaka Ruins, the remains of an indigenous settlement built between 800 and 1600 AD. Close by are the tribal lands of the Kogi people, said to be direct descendants of the Tayrona tribe. You will enjoy a walking tour of the settlement’s ruins and an introduction to the culture of the Kogi, followed by some free time.
After your encounter, you will enjoy a typical lunch accompanied by “agua panela con limon” (sugar cane juice with lemon).

Upon your arrival, you will start your ecological hiking tour to the waterfall descending from the Sierra Nevada. The eternally white capped Sierra Nevada is the tallest mountain bordering the sea in the world. The natural waterfall forms a series of natural pools housing a variety of fish.
After a 30-minute hike, you will enjoy free time to explore, relax or swim in the crystalline waters.
Then, you will return to your coach via a 30-minute hike through the vegetation and fruit plants, such as cacao and plantain.

During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to discover the various natural wonders Curaçao has to offer.
Board your vehicle and leave the dock with your guide, for an approximately 50-minute drive to the west of the island for your first stop, Shete Boka National Park.
Shete Boka is just one of the island's national parks. Here, you will see how the wild sea meets the coast in spectacular fashion. Waves explode over wild rock formations and the power of the sea and unpredictable waves will leave you breathless.
Then, it's back to your vehicle for your second stop: Hofi Mango, one of Curaçao's most diverse nature reserves and one of the island's best-kept secrets. Many people have driven past it many times, but few know its true beauty. After passing through the rainforest-like garden, you will make your way to the Stairway to Heaven, from where you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the island.
Finally, you will head for your last stop, Cas Abao Beach, one of Curaçao's most beautiful natural beaches, known for its wide strip of white sand and warm, shallow waters. Relax on your beach chair and soak up the sun, or choose to take a dip in the azure-blue Caribbean oceans.
Then it will be time to take your vehicle back to your ship at the dock.

Discover Willemstad's Dutch architecture, pastel-coloured buildings and ornate facades on a guided walking tour of this historic town.
You will meet your guide on the quay and walk to the centre of town, where you will visit the Kura Hulanda Museum. This anthropological museum exposes the transatlantic slave trade and features an impressive collection of traditional African and Afro-Caribbean artefacts. You will then stop for refreshments at the Rustiq restaurant, where you will enjoy a cocktail with authentic Curacao flavours.
Your guided tour continues to the old workers' houses, which have been renovated to become the village of Kura Hulanda.
Continue along the waterway to the Queen Emma pontoon and cross the waterway by bridge or ferry. Then, you will head to the historic district of Willemstad to see Fort Amsterdam, home to the governor's palace, and stroll along the main street to a local market, where you will make a brief stop.
On the way back, you will see the oldest synagogue in the Western Hemisphere.

From the dock, you will board your vehicle with your guide for a short drive to Landhuis Bloemhof.
You will learn about the history of the islands, admire the work of local artists and get creative during this art experience and workshop at Landhuis Bloemhof.
Start with a tour of the water plantation and country house, where you will also have a chance to admire local contemporary art. Next, you will head to the Cathedral of Thorns, also located on the property, where you will receive a guided tour of the art exhibition in the cathedral and can explore an exhibition created by local and international artists. The Cathedral of Thorns was designed by Herman van Bergen, winner of the prestigious Cola Debrot Award in 2016. The Cathedral unites all of van Bergen's previous thorn art sculptures into one huge, monumental project honoring Mother Nature and the Free Spirit.
Afterwards, you will enjoy a local snack and drink before starting the art workshop. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to paint a local souvenir or create an intuitive painting, while enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings of Landhuis Bloemhof.

Centuries ago, the Caribbean region was famous for its flourishing indigo production. The high quality of the blue pigment produced on these islands was unsurpassed anywhere in the world and it was exported worldwide.
You will meet your guide on the quay and board your vehicle for a 45-minute panoramic drive to Landhuis San Nicolas. The discovery of three species of the indigo family at the San Nicolas plantation led to the rebirth of indigo production on the grounds of this historic estate.
Step back in time as you enter the premises of this 17th-century planter's home. Salt and indigo were once the mainstays of the region's economy, and you can still see vestiges of this period today.
The indigo workshop begins with a tour of the farm and a brief history of Curaçao's lost "blue gold". You will then, learn how to extract the pigment from the plant and use it to transform natural, undyed fabric into vibrant blue.
During your visit, you will enjoy a refreshing snack.
At the end of your workshop, you will get back into your vehicle and head back to your ship.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can climb Saint-Vincent's highest peak, La Soufrière (1178m). La Soufrière occupies almost a third of the northern tip of the island, overlooking the fishing and farming villages of Richmond to the northwest and Owia, home of the Caribbean Indians, to the northeast.
You will meet your guide on the pier, board your bus and enjoy an informative 1.5-hour ride from the pier. This ride takes you through the famous Rabacca Dry River, from where you can see the Pitons of Saint Lucia on a clear day.
The climb begins at the end of the road at Bamboo Range (365 meters above sea level). You will climb the trail for around 5 km, passing through rainforest, bamboo, lush trees and all the epiphytes that grow around the trees. After a 90-minute climb, you will be rewarded with a magnificent panorama and the feeling of being on top of the world.
Enjoy a picnic lunch while admiring the breathtaking view. The volcano's crater, produced after the previous eruption, is visible and it's magnificent.
You will then return to Bamboo Range and board the bus that will take you back to the pier.

From the pier, board your catamaran for a cruise along the west coast, passing Castries harbour before arriving to Marigot Bay. Your cruise continues to "Anse Cochon" where you will enjoy a nice swimming. From here, you will head to Soufrière, home of the majestic Pitons.
From Soufrière pier, you will disembark the catamaran and board a bus for the short drive through the historic town of Soufriere to the Old Mill restaurant where a local buffet lunch and local fruit juice will be served.
After your lunch, you will continue to the Botanical Gardens and Diamond Baths, where the exuberant vegetation spreads its colour among a profusion of exotic flowers. The garden was a famous spot for Napoléon's wife, Joséphine. Marvel at the tropical plants carefully arranged along the sides of the pathway leading to the waterfall.
After this retreat from the outside world, you will drive Soufrière, referred to as the Caribbean's only "drive-in" volcano. This historic site is the result of volcanic eruptions some 300,000 years ago. The Soufrière is an active volcano, where you will have the occasion to observe the Sulphur springs. Smell the sulphur as you enter the gates and inhale the natural scents (it has been proven that the sulphur water has many medicinal properties). See the sulphuric fumaroles and steam jet escape from the soil whereas the sulphurous water of the natural baths boil at a temperature which can reaching 338 °F (170 °C).
After a short drive, you will reach Morne Coubaril Estate for a guided tour hof this sprawling plateau farm and have your lunch. Producer of cocoa, coffee, coconuts, bananas and an assortment of other tropical products, this working plantation has been in the business of cultivation since the 17th century. It maintains some of the same harvesting and processing practices that have served it in good stead for hundreds of years.
Finally, you will return to your ship, at anchor in Soufrière Bay.

After a short drive, you will reach Morne Coubaril Estate for a guided tour of this sprawling plateau farm. Producer of cocoa, coffee, coconuts, bananas and an assortment of other tropical products, this working plantation has been in the business of cultivation since the 17th century. It maintains some of the same harvesting and processing practices that have served it in good stead for hundreds of years.

This excursion will take you on a buzzing adventure, discovering how important bees are to the environment through an educational and interactive experience.
From the pier, you will meet your guide and board your coach for a 30-minute drive to The Iyanola Apiculture Collective, which is dedicated to supporting beekeepers in Saint Lucia and the Caribbean, to develop ecologically-sound, symbiotic relationships with nature, which supports forest conservation and the expansion of the honey industry.
Upon your arrival at the centre, you will be welcomed by an experienced beekeeper and listen to the history of beekeeping in Saint Lucia and learn interesting facts about bees, honey and strategies being used in Saint Lucia to save endangered bees. You will then enter a safe observation room, where you see the beekeeper in his full protective wear, interacting with the bees in the hive.
After observing and listening, you will take part in the experience and get to sample exotic Black Mangrove honey from our world renowned Ramsar site, as well as make your own candle from natural beeswax. Before leaving, you will enjoy a refreshing local fruit juice.

On this tour, you will get a taste of all that Saint Lucia has to offer, starting with a panoramic drive with several stops at the most beautiful viewpoints on the island. You will then visit one of the most famous local restaurants in the area, owned by Chef Orlando Satchell.
From the pier, you will board your minivan for a scenic drive to Castries and up to the Morne viewpoint overlooking Castries Harbour and the northern landscape.
Your driver will then take you to the Cul De Sac valley and Marigot Bay viewpoint overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean.
Before heading to your gastronomic experience, you will enjoy one last scenic drive along the island's west coast road, passing by small communities and the fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. Finally, you’ll arrive at the Piton viewpoint for a spectacular view of the Pitons as well as the town of Soufrière and its bay.
From here, you will head to Chef Orlando's restaurant, where you will be welcomed by the Chef and his team with a welcome drink. In this simple, local, and open-air restaurant setting, Chef Orlando will demonstrate his fine culinary expertise and create some mouth-watering fusions. Today, you will discover how an ancestral agriculture process has been implemented and developed in Saint Lucia by a St Lucian family.
From the pier, you will board your minivan for a 30-minute drive through the town of Soufriere to the village of Choiseul, where the Green Haven integrated farm is located. This is a family owned and family operated aquaponic and organic experience.
Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing beverage and taken on a short walk, learning a little about the history of the family and how they got started. Interact with a few family members and learn about their involvement in the development of the aquaponics farm, which was established in 2010. It features a 32,000-gallon vertical system, a green house, and an 80,000-gallon rainwater harvesting tank, 8Kw of solar renewable energy system to power the farm, a compost pit and a medicinal and herb garden.
Green Haven, as it is locally called, has also received the “Green Award”, Idea of the year Award and the Prime Minister's Award for Innovation.

From the pier, board your motorboat and start your scenic journey around the isles of les Saintes. The archipelago of les Saintes consists of nine islands spread between Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas main islands.
Head first to the Marigot bay, a place in Terre-de-Haut Island well-known by local fishermen, before going around to reach îlet à Cabrit and other islets.
Sailing along the southern coast of Terre-de-Haut Island, you will then reach the small uninhabited island of Grand Ilet, a paradise for tortoises and seabirds. Following a stop at La Coche, continue to Terre-de-Bas where you can see an old pottery workshop, as well as turtles and pelicans who settled there.
Back to Terre-de-Haut, you will then sail to the Pain de Sucre (Sugar loaf), a geological formation caused by an ancient basalt flow. There, enjoy some free time for bathing, snorkelling and having a refreshment, before sailing back to the pier and your ship.

From the pier, you will meet your guide to discover the secrets of Terre-de-Haut.
After a short walk, you will board a mini-bus and drive to the Vauban-style Fort Napoléon which overlooks ‘La Baie des Saintes’. It was built in the mid-1800's as a tribute to Napoleon III on the site of the original Fort Louis, destroyed by the English in 1809.
From here, you can either go on the guided tour or explore the fort on your own. You will then stroll down to a shipyard in Marigot Bay to see how they build traditional boats, before heading for the centre of Bourg.
During this excursion, a snack of local delicacies "tourment d'amour" and local juices will be served.

From the ship, you will board the zodiacs and enjoy a short ride to the pontoon of the hotel Bois Joli, located in Cointe cove.
You will be welcomed by Suzanne, a Spanish woman, living here for 20 years and married to a Guadeloupean. She will be sharing with you her love for the island and its traditions and local treats.
First, you will have a brief introduction about the history of Les Saintes archipelago and then you will follow Suzanne along a short but rocky walking path to the Pain de Sucre viewpoint. Here, you will be able to enjoy the third most beautiful bay of the world and take panoramic pictures. A little further, you will discover a small chapel.
Back from this stunning viewpoint, you will start your gastronomic journey. Suzanne will serves you some French cuisine classics such as foie gras, duck breast but with a local touch and local products. The use of tropical fruits and spices will give the Caribbean twist to this gourmet experience. You will also enjoy local drinks such as homemade lemonade and old rums. Local and homemade chocolates will enclose your tasting.
After this tasty moment, you will have 1 hour to relax on the hotel's beach and swim in the crystal waters.

On this hike, you will discover the dry vegetation characteristic of the north of the island, as well as magnificent views over the archipelago.
Your guide will take you from the pier to the boat house. You will walk along the road around the village towards the bay of Marigot to reach the start of the hiking trail.
You will start the climb by following the Conservatoire du Littoral trail to get your first view of Marigot. You will discover the flora typical of the island's arid zones, made up of candle cactus, aloe vera, tufts of mal-tête grass, frangipani and red gum trees. This magnificent walk offers superb views, including a privileged vantage point over Terre de Haut. As you continue your ascent, you will once again enjoy panoramic views of Terre de Bas, the Sugar Loaf and, opposite, Fort Napoléon.
You will then switch to the Marie-Galante side to reach the summit of Morne Morel, 136m above sea level. Known locally as Battery Caroline, this was a strategic position where, until the 19th century, soldiers could easily spot the enemy fleet. From the old fortifications, you will catch a glimpse of La Dominique.
You will then start the descent, which can be a little technical on the stony path, but will take you down to the Bay of Pompierre, with its superb beach lined with coconut palms. Your guide will be sure to tell you all about the different species that make up the fauna, as well as the cursed fig tree.
Finally, you will return by road to the village and your ship.

Tourment d'amour is a traditional cake from Les Saintes. Visitors arriving by boat are usually greeted by vendors selling these cakes filled with coconut, pineapple or guava jam.
From the quay, you will cross the village of Terre de Haut, accompanied by your guide. You will pass through the central square, with the main ferry dock. This charming little town stretches along the water's edge, overlooking the magnificent bay. En route, you will see the church, which was built in the 19th century and has been listed on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. Continue on to Place de la Mairie, or Place Fleurie, with its elegant, colourful town hall and monument to sailors lost at sea.
Then, continue along the seafront to your workshop for the day. Be sure to take in the local architecture and the views across the bay.
At your workshop, you will be greeted by your host, who will give you all the information you need about tourment d'amour: its history, how it's made, and why it's so particular to the island. It's said that it takes a lot of love to make this cake. In fact, it was made by Saint women to comfort their sailor husbands on their return from sea, after a hard day's work. They represented their love and gratitude.
You will enjoy a demonstration of how to make this little cake, and of course, you will be invited to join in and help with the various stages of production.
Traditionally made with coconut, tourment is also available in other local flavours: pineapple, guava and banana.
Finally, you will leave with your own little bag of tourment, made before your very eyes. You will head back towards the quay, passing through the village and stopping to admire the bay, visit the church, or enjoy the ambiance of Terre de Haut before returning to the ship.

First you will be taken to Balata Botanical Garden Created by the expert botanist Jean-Philippe Thoze in 1982, this garden is an epic floral works of art made out of roses, hibiscus, orchids, and many other plants. Today it contains about 3,000 varieties of tropical plants from around the world. It is organized around the family house built in a typical creole style. You will experience a nice stroll in the quiet, shady paths lined with colourful flowers appealing to the eyes as much as to the smell.
You will then join the restaurant where your lunch will be served.
You will continue your exploration to the village of Le Francois for the visit of the Habitation Clement. The Habitation Clement stands an important place in the architectural and industrial patrimony of Martinique. It has been recognized as a Historic Monument by the Ministry of Culture. The term ‘Habitation’ in its Creole sense, describes a property and its structures dedicate to agricultural or commercial purpose. You will get the chance to visit the domain, the main house and the distillery. At the end of your visit, enjoy a Rum tasting.
